ATTENTION:

We have seen quite a few cases of migrating grass awns this late spring! For all our furry friends that like to run/roam we recommend clipping/shaving the paws during the warm months to better examine and look for the seeds before they burrow into the skin.

Common clinical signs include patients licking their feet, reluctance to walk on affected paw or visible draining tracts between the digits.

Recently we have seen multiple confirmed cases all on different sides of Wilson county of Bobcat fever! This disease is spread by the Lone Star Tick and can be fatal! Prevention is best, we recommend year-round flea and tick prevention.

🐮 According to KDA beef cattle farming and ranching has a direct output of 11.7 billion dollars and employs approximately 38,601 people.

Our last meet the staff Monday (on a Tuesday) is Dr. Nicole! Dr. Nicole has been with the clinic long before she graduated vet school. She is always willing and eager to jump in and see the complicated cases. Dr. Nicole especially enjoys working with cattle. We are very blessed to have her at Salt Creek!
