A quick reminder can prevent a tragedy.

Even on a mild day, the temperature inside a parked vehicle can rise dangerously fast, and cracking the windows is not enough to keep a pet safe.

Share this post to help remind clients and pet owners: when the weather warms up, leave pets at home rather than in the car. ☀️🐾

🎆 Fireworks & Pet Safety Reminder! 🐾 🎇

The Fourth of July is right around the corner, and while fireworks are fun for people, they can be very stressful and frightening for our pets.

Here are a few tips to help keep your furry family members safe:

🐶 Keep pets indoors during fireworks displays.
🐱 Create a quiet, comfortable space where they can feel secure.
🎵 Turn on a TV, fan, or calming music to help mask loud noises.
🚪 Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date in case they become frightened and escape.
❤️ Stay calm and act normal—our pets often take cues from us.

If your pet has a history of anxiety during fireworks, please don’t wait until the last minute! If you think your pet may need a sedative or anti-anxiety medication to help them through the holiday, call Fredericktown Animal Hospital now. Our doctors may need time to review your pet’s medical history and determine the safest option for them.

📞 Give us a call before the holiday rush so we can help your pet have a safe and stress-free Fourth of July.

Let’s work together to keep tails wagging and whiskers happy this holiday season! 🇺🇸🐾

🐾 Important Update from Fredericktown Animal Hospital 🐾

To help protect our patients, staff, and community, we will now require all dogs and cats to be current on their rabies vaccination before we can perform nail trims/anal glands or surgical procedures.

Rabies is a fatal disease that can affect both animals and people, and vaccination is one of the most important ways to keep everyone safe.

If your pet is due for a rabies vaccine or you’re unsure of their vaccination status, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to help get them up to date.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us provide a safe environment for all of our patients and team members! ❤️🐶🐱

📞 Call us to schedule an appointment or discuss your pet’s vaccination needs.
