Small, big, fluffy, puppy, seniors; we have it all! We've been on intake hold for a few weeks and are firing up for a large intake!

While some won't immediately be available for adoption, they are all currently in need of fosters for 2 weeks. The best part? If it's a match, you get first dibs at adoption too!

All dogs listed below are good with other dogs. Estimated ages and genders are also listed below if we know. We do not know any other information regarding their temperament. We don't know what breed they are; your guess is as good as ours! For now, assume none are crate trained or housebroken 😉

Pickup is flexible Monday 10/26 through Wednesday 10/28. All supplies are provided! Our adoption facility is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd. Fredericksburg, VA 22408.

For previously approved applicants, please email us at [email protected] or text us at 540-369-8967.
For new fosters, please fill out a foster survey:

🐾 ARLO HERE. I GOT A QUESTION.

WHY AM I STILL HERE?! 🤨

Not an existential crisis. Not questioning the meaning of life.

I'm just a really great dog trying to understand why nobody has adopted me yet.

Let's review my qualifications, shall we?
❤️ Affectionate? Absolutely. Love my people.
🚗 Road-trip buddy? Excellent passenger. Five stars.
🐾 Walking partner? Got that covered.
🛋️ Cuddle buddy? Yes, but I also respect personal space.
🏠 House manners? Kept my crate clean and slept through the night.
🎾 Entertainment? I play a mean game of tug, complete with dramatic sound effects.
⏰ Alarm clock? Complimentary 6 a.m. wake-up service!

Now, I do have one request.

I'd like to be your only dog.

I know, I know. Apparently that's a dealbreaker for some people.

But hear me out.
I'm not asking you to give up your friends, your hobbies, or even your side of the couch. Okay, we might negotiate the couch. 😂

Being an only dog doesn't make me a bad dog. It just means I know what kind of home makes me happiest.

Somewhere out there is someone who wants one walking buddy, one copilot, one couch companion, and one very enthusiastic tug-of-war champion.

And I could be their ONE. ❤️

So, seriously... WHY AM I STILL HERE?!

🐾 Could I be your one and only? APPLY TO ADOPT ME!

📣 Not your match? SHARE ME! My person might be scrolling your feed right now!

Blessings counts her blessings every day she is in a warm loving home. Look at those eyes - every day she stares at us and asks when is her turn to go home fur-ever.

🎤🐾 ROSCOE: LEAD SINGER OF THE HOWLING HIKERS! 🎶

Some dogs enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Roscoe - is not - one of those dogs. 😂

This 1-year-old, 28-pound entertainer LOVES to sing the songs of his people on walks, making sure everyone within earshot knows the hiking crew has officially arrived!

And when he's not performing his greatest hits?

🧸 He's playing with ALL the toys.

🐶 He's wrestling with his dog buddies (sometimes with a little more enthusiasm than they bargained for!).

🐾 He's making friends and enjoying every minute of life.

❤️ And after all that excitement? He's ready to curl up for some serious snuggles.

Roscoe is outgoing, affectionate, walks nicely on leash, and has enough personality to headline his own tour.

His ideal audience? A fun-loving family who enjoys an active pup, appreciates a good snuggle, and understands that a hound's gonna hound!

That means the occasional unsolicited concert, plenty of personality, and a boy who isn't shy about sharing his opinions. 😂

No cats in the fan club, please!

🎟️ Roscoe is ready to take his show on the road - to his forever home!

Parole got paroled for the Sunday hike and goodness - he enjoyed the crisp fall air. Parole is a sweet 2 year old boy who smiled and wagged his way down the trail. He rides great in the car, is lovely on the leash and, as you can see, has his limits. He is the perfect hiking buddy because he will happily nap with you after!
