Meet Duke, our newest Board & Train pup! 🐾

Duke is actually an OLK9 alum who completed our program about 5 years ago, and now he’s back for a 1 Week Board & Train refresher with Trainer Katie! 🙌🏼

Over the next week, they’ll be brushing up on his skills with a little extra focus on door and kennel manners and learning to stay calmer and less excitable around other dogs.

Sometimes even the graduates need a little refresher! 🎓🐾 We’re excited to have you back, Duke!

Meet our newest Board and Train duo, Ginger & Honey! 🍯🐾

Ginger (right) is 2 years old and Honey (left) is 7 months old, and these two are bringing double the energy and double the distractions! 😂 They get especially distracted when they’re together, and Mom’s biggest goal is pretty simple: she just wants them to LISTEN! 🙌🏼

They’ll be spending the next 2 weeks with Trainer Robert, working on their obedience, focus, impulse control, and learning that they can still listen—even when their favorite partner in crime is nearby. 😂

We can’t wait to watch these two progress!

Trainer Colby had a little extra help working with Board and Train pup Waffles 🧇 this morning! 😂🐾

Waffles worked on her heel command alongside Colby and his 2-year-old son—aka future K9 trainer in training. 😂 He’s starting them young!

Between Waffles practicing her heel and the newest member of the training team supervising, we’d say it was a pretty productive morning! 🥹🐾

Board and Train pup Lemon 🍋🐾 is putting in the work with Trainer Emma!

Today, Lemon is working on the down command, building the consistency and stability needed to hold the command until released. She’s catching on and looking pretty cute while doing it! 🥹

Board and Train pup Waffles 🧇🐾 is out and about putting in the work with Trainer Colby!

Today, Waffles worked on strengthening the sit command while practicing around real-world distractions. Staying focused when there’s so much happening around you isn’t always easy… especially when you’re busy being THIS adorable. 😂🥹

Meet our newest 2 Week Board and Train, Jax! 🐾

Jax is a 3-year-old Cane Corso/Great Dane mix who will be spending the next two weeks with Trainer Abby and Abby is VERY determined to become friends with this big guy. 😂

Jax has been pretty wary so far, showing some growling and stiff body language, so Abby is taking things slow and giving him the time and space he needs to build trust.

He recently started showing some human and dog reactivity, possible resource guarding of family members, and struggles to stay consistent with commands around distractions.

His family’s biggest goals are better recall, managing his reactivity, improving leash manners, and eventually being able to enjoy neighborhood walks and trail runs without all the drama.

For now, though, step one is simple: earn Jax’s trust. ❤️

We’re excited to follow his progress over the next two weeks! 💪🏼🐾

🎓🐾 Congratulations, Yukon!! 🥳

Board and Train pup Yukon officially graduated from our 2 Week Board & Train program this morning with Trainer Robert! 🙌🏼

Over the last two weeks, Yukon has put in so much work building his obedience, confidence, focus, and reliability—and today he got to show his family everything he’s learned!

We’re so proud of the progress this handsome boy has made and can’t wait for his family to enjoy all of his new skills at home and on future adventures. ❤️
