Board and Train Cocoa 🐾 was out and about in Colonial Beach yesterday with Trainer Katie and soaking it all in! 🤩 This sweet pup got to work around new sights, sounds, and distractions while building confidence and having a great time along the way!

Meet new Board and Train Viggo! 🐾 Viggo is a 6-month-old Papillon with plenty of personality packed into a tiny body! He struggles with jumping, biting, and a little selective hearing, but he is ready to get to work. Viggo will be spending the next 2 weeks with Trainer Robert, and we cannot wait to watch this little guy learn, grow, and make big progress!

Board and Train Stevie 🐾 got out early with Trainer Emma around 9 AM to work on the 3 D’s — distance, duration, and distractions! Other than getting a little too excited about other doggos, this has been one of the hardest parts of training for her and was one of her parents’ biggest goals. She is putting in the work and making such great progress! 💪🏼✨

Meet new Board and Train Fifi! 🐾 Fifi struggles with barking at other dogs, pulling on the leash, and is especially underconfident around men. She will be spending the next 2 weeks with Trainer Brenden, and we are excited to help this sweet girl build confidence, improve her leash manners, and learn how to handle the world with a little more trust and stability.

Meet new Board and Train Linux! 🐾 Linux is a 7-month-old Husky with all the typical puppy behaviors and plenty of personality to match! She can be stubborn, loves to bark and howl, and is here to learn the basics. Underneath all that sass, she is a very sweet, loving, and playful pup. Linux will be spending the next 2 weeks with Trainer Colby, and we cannot wait to watch her grow and make big progress!

Meet new Board and Train Gus! 🐾 Gus is a 1-year-old Silver Lab with lots and lots of energy! He tends to get overly excited, doesn’t listen very well, pulls his owners all over the place on leash, and can be very hard to walk. He also likes to nip at hands and needs help with the basics. Gus will be spending the next 2 weeks with Trainer Colby, and we cannot wait to watch this fun boy learn, grow, and make big progress!

Meet new Board and Train Meadow! 🐾 Meadow is a 6-month-old Shepherd/Pitt mix who previously completed our puppy course before starting Board and Train. Her training had to be delayed a bit longer than expected after being attacked by the other dog in the home, and since then she has developed some pretty severe anxiety and dog reactivity. She has even growled at Trainer Emma, though it does not seem like she would follow through on it. Meadow will be with Trainer Emma for the next 2 weeks, and we are hopeful this sweet girl can start rebuilding confidence and learning that the world feels safe again.
