We are Fredericksburg's first CSA, committed to providing our members with organic food from local farmers since 1997. This dedication to food purity is the reason our CSA was founded, and remains our top priority. Other CSA communities may feature local produce, but FACSAP is the ONLY Organic/Certified Naturally Grown CSA in the Fredericksburg area. Our aim has always been and continues to be establishing, maintaining, and supporting local organic food producers! Members support our area farms and growers by purchasing a “Share in the Harvest” before the season begins. The share price reflects the cost of producing and distributing the harvest using environmentally sound practices. A variety of produce is harvested, divided into shares, and distributed each week to members throughout the 20-week harvest season. Happening right now! We are pleased to share that there is now a Food Scraps (a.k.a. Compost) collection site on alternating Saturdays at the Fredericksburg Farmer's Market. Please join us TODAY, at Hukamp Park from 7AM-1PM to drop off your compostable items. See flyer for more information.
*A tip from our resident Compost expert, Jonathan, is that you can store your compost in the Freezer until it's ready for drop off.
This program is a pilot, so please help support the initiative so it becomes a long-term option for our city!
