Gilbert lost his grapes last week, our 44th adult! He's reintegrating himself into the colony. He was rather ornery before he got fixed so we're hoping he'll mellow out and be a better friend to our older community cats.

These six sweet kittens have come a long way since they were found in June. They are all thriving in foster care and will be available for adoption this weekend 😻. Come see Hyacinth, Dahlia, Lily, Snowdrop & Periwinkle Saturday Sept 6 at Petsmart in Central Park from 11-4. Wisteria has already found a home 💕

Mama Morning Glory was spayed and returned to the colony. No more babies for her!

It's been a big week for Braehead Cats! We've been watching sweet Morning Glory for at least 2 years and have tried to trap her with no luck. Last week, a neighbor found 6 white kittens in her yard and called us for help. We were able to use the kittens to trap the mama. Now all 7 are being fostered and Morning Glory will never have to have any more kittens 💕 The babies will be socialized and adopted out after they also get fixed. A huge success!

We trapped these sweet girls last summer and after several months of learning how to be indoor kitties, they're finally ready to be adopted!!

Alba and her sister Tofu have been waiting for the purrfect match. They have been together their entire lives and would love to be adopted together if possible. They are about 10 months old.

There is a $100 sponsor if they are adopted as a pair. They're available through Cause 4 Paws, Locust Grove VA

A recent check to see how our colony cats are beating the heat. So many of them look alike, so we weren't able to identify them all conclusively, but we were very pleased to see that they all had tipped ears. There are still a few out there who haven't been fixed yet, but this is still excellent progress! Our colony used to have nearly 100 cats and kittens, but getting the adults fixed and the babies adopted out has made it a much more manageable size. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this important mission!

Our boy Curry is the colony's most recognizable resident. With his fluffy orange pantaloons and his bobtail, he's hard to miss. If you're very lucky, you may see him with his BFF Pecan, a tabby who was fixed last summer.

We love seeing our community cats when they stop by to say hi. This is one of the first two feral mothers we trapped, White Mama, now named Marie. She's been playing in this yard since she was a baby, and still visits almost daily, but it's rare that she's poses for a photo.
