Update on Mr. Fry!!🍟✨

This little boy had his neuter procedure done on Thursday and has been healing like a champ! Despite the entire experience, he has continued to wag his little tail non-stop for any type of attention. The vet staff even said he was the center of attention!🥹 Another tech called him “ridiculous” - which is also entirely true.🤣

He’s done great healing in his crate and going out to potty regularly. He had two accidents his first two nights but learned quickly to wait until he leaves his kennel.

He’s gotten over his picky eating and is eager for snacks - he enjoys lamb treats! He is also starting to play with toys by himself. He is very gentle with all his stuffies. 💕

My little friend is seemingly the PERFECT fit for just about any household ready for a loyal, devoted companion. Grooming needs will never be a problem as I will offer lifelong discounted services as long as I am working. Myself and A3P are ready and willing to support you in any way through Fry’s transition. He is incredibly adaptable and ready to be loved.

This sweet guy absolutely LOVES when it’s time for pawdicures! He especially loves when dad holds him like a baby and tells him he’s super brave.🥹

This guy got the ultimate pampering this time - with a bonus ear cleaning and flea preventative application so he’s all safe for the summer weather!✨

“What is taking so long?”

We’re building trust and eating chicken!🤣

Sometimes the tension becomes too much before the groom. A lot of my dogs love the process, but get anxious during their transition from their parents to the table.🥺

This is the fear free process. Time, patience, and space so the dog can make their choice comfortably.✨

Ultimately, Kona allowed head scratches from her safe place and decided she was ready to eat ALL the chicken. I don’t blame her one bit. We all need a snack sometimes. 😅

Kona was the bravest girl for her entire service, and even showed off her post-bath zoomies after she was all done. My favorite part of the groom is watching a dog feel better. Kona is clean, healthy, and happy - and it shows. 💕

I got to visit Mr. Scooby at Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets in Dumfries.

This little guy needed a quick cleanup before meeting his new foster family!

Scooby was very unsure about his makeover today, but I just know he feels so much better! Great job, friend!🥰

I would also like to give a big thank you to the director and volunteers for giving me the opportunity to donate my time for Scooby. They are doing amazing work and their facility is beautiful! ✨💕

Mr. French Fry seems to be the perfect boy - but he’s been overlooked by everyone interested.😔 I know this guy has SO much potential in him!

✨French Fry’s Story✨
I picked Fry up as “Ziggy” from a man in Ruther Glen. Unfortunately, this man has been impersonating an animal control officer online and has a history of rehoming puppies in the area. When I saw Fry’s photo on Facebook, covered in tight matting, I picked him up the next morning and his new life began.
This guy is not microchipped - but a report has been made with the Caroline County Animal Welfare Department. They took photos of him and will be on the lookout for any potential lost dog notices. Until then, he has been spending time with me in my home.

Here is what we know so far:
French Fry’s Story is roughly 7lbs and 8 months old. He is a havenese/poodle mix. He is not neutered and has had no vaccines but will get updated soon. His neuter will be up to his family once he has matured. French Fry seems to be healthy despite his original state - mild allergies and potential patella/hip issues. He does mark at times, but is generally pad trained. He does not seem to be very interested in walking or going outside.

He is learning his name but has yet to learn other tacks. He is not food motivated and is a very picky eater - he seems to prefer to graze at his kibble, and does not take any treats. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys, but tries to initiate play with my smaller dog. He is too intimidated by my larger dog, but hasn’t shown any aggression or reactivity - he just excuses himself from the situation politely.🤣

This guy does love car rides, naps, snuggles, and laying in front of the fan to cool off. He is VERY people oriented and social around strangers. Everybody is his friend if he gets to be pet. Ear scratches are his favorite thing ever.🥰

I do believe he would do best in a single level home or apartment as he struggles going down the stairs. I have been willing to carry him, but he is not interested in learning himself.
He doesn’t need a big yard or lots of exercise - he prefers snuggling with you at home and being wherever you are. He would definitely enjoy it if you work from home or have lots of time for him. He does do well in a crate for a few hours to nap.
Small dogs are okay, perhaps calmer/submissive large dogs, and adult cats(my 2 month old kitten terrifies him).
