Aussie celebrated his birthday with us at Skylos Sports Medicine with a rehab session on the underwater treadmill! 🌊🐕

As our pets get older, maintaining muscle strength, mobility, endurance, and overall fitness becomes even more important. Regular conditioning and low-impact exercise can help support healthy aging and keep them doing the things they love for years to come. ❤️

We’re pretty sure Aussie would agree that a birthday workout is better with treats afterward! 😉🎂

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month, and this is a topic that is near and dear to our hearts at Skylos Sports Medicine. 💙

Dogs don’t always cry, whine, or show obvious signs when they’re in pain. Often, the signs are much more subtle.

Changes in movement, behavior, posture, or everyday habits can all be clues that something isn’t quite right. Even repeatedly licking or chewing a specific area can be a sign of discomfort.

Below are some common but subtle signs to watch for, and remember: you know your dog best. If something seems different, it’s worth paying attention.

Our goal is always to help dogs move comfortably, stay active, and get back to doing what they love. 🐾

🐾 It’s Rehabilitation Services Awareness Week! 🐾

At Skylos Sports Medicine, rehabilitation is an important part of helping our patients heal, move better, manage pain, and get back to doing the things they love.

Our rehabilitation team works closely with our sports medicine and surgical teams to create individualized treatment plans for every patient. From post-operative recovery and injury rehabilitation to strength and conditioning, pain management, and improving mobility, our goal is always the same: helping each patient reach their fullest potential. 💙

Our team utilizes a variety of rehabilitation therapies, including underwater treadmill therapy, therapeutic laser, shockwave therapy, therapeutic exercise, and more, all tailored to each patient’s specific needs.

We’re incredibly proud of our dedicated rehabilitation team and the care they provide every day. Their knowledge, compassion, and creativity make such a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

🚨 A NEW LEVEL OF IMAGING HAS ARRIVED! 🚨

We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to our brand-new hospital: a state-of-the-art 160-slice CT scanner! 🩵

This is the first 160-slice CT machine in the BluePearl network, bringing advanced imaging capabilities to our patients and helping our specialty teams get even more detailed information when diagnosing complex orthopedic and sports medicine conditions.

With faster imaging and exceptional detail, this technology will help our clinicians evaluate patients with greater precision and plan treatment with confidence.

And this is just the beginning. 👀

We remember the courage, compassion, and selflessness of the first responders, service members, search-and-rescue teams, and the incredible dogs who worked alongside them.

Today, we celebrate Labor Day by recognizing and appreciating the hard work and contributions of workers across our country.
