Young's Wildlife

Young's Wildlife As a Master Taxidermist, business owner and artist, there are a few things I strive for and a few things that I feel separate us from others.

Welcome to Young’s Wildlife! We are a full time, full service operation dedicated to providing our clients with custom pieces of wildlife artistry that commemorates their hunting adventures and displays their trophies in all of their natural beauty and grace. We have been in operation since 1995 and hold both state and federal licensing. In 2006 we began construction on our new studio, which opene

d January 2007. This new modern-facility has enabled us to better fill the needs of our growing clientele. We have a large modern showroom, which displays several trophies from around the world. Our showroom is a gallery for the type of artistry we here at Young’s Wildlife create. Please take the time to explore the rest of our site to find out more about our business, such as meeting our family, looking at our gallery, our competition awards and our pre-hunt and shipping information. You may also visit our studio online or make an appointment to visit one on one with us. And feel free to email us with any questions.

2025 recap, many pieces completed this year and a substantial dent put in the backlog. Still a long way to go but 2026 should be a great year for catching up. I cut numbers of new work back tremendously this fall, this will result in much more time to eliminate the backlog and restructure once I’m caught up. 2025 marked 30 years in business, very hard to believe. I’ve been blessed to meet some many good people in those 30 yrs, many, many that have become long time clients and some that have become friends and hunting buddies. There are many clients that received work back from me this year but there are many still that did not. To those I apologize but also thank those for continuing to be patient with me. There’s not one client that is not on my radar. Looking forward to making more progress this year. Thank you to everyone that’s been there over the past 30!

Pretty big photo drop of things being worked on in the shop lately. Way overcommitted on holiday deadlines but I’m trying my best and plowing through backlog. A few more to put together yet the next few days and then it’s a ton of finish work. More pics in the next two weeks as some cool pieces start to come together. Next week elephant tusk mounts, multiple Rhino replica mounts and a large Russian brown bear. Looking forward to smashing this backlog in 26’

Just want to wish everyone a great weekend of hunting, whether it’s youth hunting in Md or rifle opener in Va! This is one of the biggest weekends of the season for both states. Hopefully everyone is safe and finds success in the field. Others will be waterfowl hunting on the shore and some may be pursuing upland birds in Va, all of us share a common love of the outdoors and are blessed to have many opportunities and options in our area. Have a great weekend everyone!

Eyes are the window to the soul, or so they say. I’m not sure about all that but in my opinion eyes tell about quality immediately. I make regular practice of photographing the eyes of nearly every whitetail and many other animals that I do, not for posting on social media but for my own reference as to my consistency of quality. Photos hide nothing, and many times a quick pic will reveal imperfections that can be fixed or touched up. I learn a lot by taking these pics and also looking at live deer pics and of other taxidermists pics of their work. None of us are too old to learn. I’ve included in this post some eye pics of my commercial mounted whitetails from over the past 6 years. Consistency is something I strive for, or for improvement. I hope everyone enjoys the pics and if any other taxidermists see the posts and would like to throw their eye pics in the comments go for it! I enjoy seeing others work as well. The purpose of the post is not for advertisement, I have an abundance of work, it’s for education and just to show what I do and maybe see what others do. Always strive for greatness

Finished up a really special deer for a very special person today. I’ll remember everything about this deer, this hunt, this season, it will go down as the greatest hunting season I was ever part of.

Lots of work getting done. Deer, turkeys , exotics, all sorts of things. Thanks to my friend and talented fellow taxidermist Brad Marshall for helping me finally get into turkeys and start knocking out that backlog. Looking forward to having those behind me. One day at a time

Pics for attention, this is a bit of an embarrassing post. In the madness of being behind on so many things I’ve managed to overlook some fish replicas that I have taken orders on. If you have a replica to be done by me please send me a text or a message and let me know. I’m specifically looking for a client that needed a Splake done and possibly snakehead orders. I know i have a couple that have slipped through the cracks. I’m trying to get these replicas that were ordered prior to the last 12 months finished and caught up. Thanks
