Into the Wild Farm

Into the Wild Farm Sanctuary + Farm School: Rescuing animals & providing learning experiences for children! We eventually want to expand to equine therapy for children and vets.

Into the Wild Farm - Sanctuary & Farm School rescues farm animals, dogs, cats and others. During the rehabilitation process, including medical, we provide learning experiences for local children to include proper husbandry & handling of farm animals. We give our animals a safe space from bad situations after their medical, physical & emotional needs are met. We also provide a safe space for children to learn about animals and their care, how to grow food, and nature.

Sweet Junior is safe with us and already doing so well.

This precious boy has now had his medical, been neutered, and is settling in with his amazing foster, where he can finally decompress, rest, and start to feel safe. We are so incredibly grateful that Junior now gets the chance he always deserved.

Junior was once so shut down and overwhelmed, and seeing him now safely out of the shelter and beginning this new chapter means everything. We are so thankful to be part of his journey and cannot wait to watch him continue to blossom.

A very special thank you to Anna Damergis Anna Damergis and Jamie Quattrochi James Quattrochi for helping make this happen. We are so grateful for your hearts and for stepping up for Junior.

🐾🌻 SAFE WITH US • WELCOME TO THE WILD FAMILY, MAMA LUCY + HER 4 BABIES! 🌻🐾

Mama Lucy and her four tiny babies are officially safe, loved, and part of our Wild Family. ❤️

Our vet confirmed that these precious puppies are actually 4 weeks old, and we are so happy to share that Mama and all four babies are doing wonderfully.

After spending so much time in the shelter, Mama Lucy can finally relax and focus on being a mama without the noise and stress of a kennel around her. Her babies are growing, exploring, playing, eating, sleeping, and doing exactly what 4 week old puppies should be doing. 🥹🐾

And Mama Lucy? She is getting the love, comfort, good food, medical care, and reassurance she deserves after taking such beautiful care of her babies.

They are truly living their best little lives now, and watching this family finally feel safe is everything. ❤️

❤️🐾 WELCOME TO OUR WILD FAMILY, JUNEY! 🐾❤️

This sweet baby girl is SAFE. 🥹

Juney came out of the shelter incredibly shut down, scared and unsure of the world around her. She is the kind of dog who needs time, patience, quiet and someone willing to meet her exactly where she is.

And that is exactly what she found. ❤️

A wonderful foster in Oregon saw Juney, saw how deeply she was struggling, and knew he could give her the space, patience and love she needs to decompress and begin feeling safe. Sometimes the right person sees past the shutdown and the fear and simply says, “I can help her.”

Juney has already had her initial medical care and has now arrived safely in Oregon with her foster. ❤️

Now, her only job is to rest.

There will be no rushing this girl. No expectations. No pressure.

Just quiet days, soft beds, gentle hands, love and all the time she needs to realize that she is safe now. 🌻

We cannot wait to watch this precious girl slowly begin to unfold and show us who she is underneath all that fear.

Between work, life, and getting dogs home, I've missed some updates. Trying to catch up. Let's start with our sweet Eddie boy from Devore ( ) - he is thriving in his new home with his breed-experienced dad. I always try to find homes in the PNW or as close as possible but when a good, committed home comes along, the long journey is worth it. I truly believe that the dogs choose their people. Whether it's across the country or across oceans, I'm just a facilitator, the matches are made beyond me. So lucky to partner with the wonderful people and teams that work tirelessly to get these babies home.

🐾 CRATE TRAINING: CREATING A SAFE SPACE 🐾

A crate should never mean, “You’re in trouble.”

For many rescue dogs, a properly introduced crate can become one of the safest and most predictable places in their new environment.

Think of it less like confinement and more like their own little bedroom. ❤️

A foster dog has often experienced enormous change before arriving in your home. A quiet, comfortable space that belongs entirely to them can help reduce stimulation and give them somewhere to truly rest.

🌿 BUILD A POSITIVE ASSOCIATION

Whenever possible, introduce the crate gradually.

Try:

🐾 Tossing treats inside and letting your foster enter voluntarily
🐾 Feeding meals in or near the crate
🐾 Adding soft bedding when appropriate
🐾 Offering a rescue-approved chew or enrichment item
🐾 Praising calm behavior
🐾 Leaving the door open during relaxed times

Never force a frightened dog into a crate unless there is an immediate safety need.

🌻 LOCATION MATTERS

Place the crate somewhere your foster can feel included, but not overwhelmed.

Some dogs want to be near the family. Others need quiet.

Watch the dog in front of you.

❤️ THE CRATE IS NOT PUNISHMENT

We want the crate to communicate:

“You can relax here.”

Not:

“You did something wrong.”

🐾 CRATING IS ALSO A SAFETY TOOL

A crate can help with:

• Safe separation from other animals
• Preventing access to unsafe items
• Building routine
• Potty training
• Rest during decompression
• Managing the environment when you can’t supervise

But crates should be part of a dog’s routine, not their entire world.

Dogs still need exercise, enrichment, companionship, potty breaks, and time to just be dogs.

If your foster panics, injures themselves trying to escape, or shows extreme distress in the crate, contact the rescue.

That’s a sign the plan needs adjusting.

A crate isn’t about control.

It’s about giving a rescue dog one small place in a brand-new world where nothing is expected of them except to feel safe. 🌻

Rescue Boldly. Love Wildly.

Harold is safe 🤍

This sweet boy with the quiet eyes and heavy heart is no longer waiting in a kennel. He is finally out, finally safe, and beginning his journey toward healing.

We are so incredibly grateful to his amazing foster to adopt, Lilit, who stepped up for him and went above and beyond to make sure Harold had a chance. Because of her, his story didn’t end at a shelter deadline. It’s just beginning.

Harold is currently decompressing and doing well. He had his f***l test today, will be heading to the vet on Wednesday for a full check, and will begin training soon so he can learn what calm, safety, and love truly feel like.

He is a gentle soul who just needed someone to choose him. And someone did.

Welcome to your new life, Harold. You are safe now.

If you can, please honor your pledge 💛
