This is the main reason why I came to Kenya as part of the Rewind Rhino Extinction Foundation. I am in Ol Pejeta Conservancy which is a rhinoceros- protected land trust. The first rhino is a blind male black rhino who is being protected for life because he cannot defend himself. The next rhinos are the last two remaining Northern White Rhinos who are both females and who will go extinct without our help. The Team is implanting the fertilized eggs of one of them into a Southern White rhino surrogate to try to rewind their extinction. In the last video is the two year old baby of another species of rhino that we have adopted and named. Rhino heaven! No rhino has been poached here in over five years. Our team also supports the anti-poaching efforts by the rangers here for the amazing work they do! Heading home to my beloved wolfers soon💓

Visited Reteti Elephant Orphanage in Northern Kenya where they sing to the orphaned elephant babies! Apparently the elephants remember these voices for life. Reteti has a baby elephant who lost his trunk in a hyena attack. He really is doing quite well though as you can see here. They also have rescued baby giraffes and Kudus. Everyone loved an ear rub!

A visit to the fabulous and magical Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery in Nairobi National Park. Of course I also couldn’t get enough of any equine-like animal, especially this zebra baby named Notty. Staying in touch with LARC staff every hour even from Africa!!

Visiting the Rothchild’s Giraffe Sanctuary in Kenya on my way to see the rhinos we are trying to preserve as part of the Board I am on to save the Northern White Rhino. Will be home with my woofers as soon as I can.
