Lesson time on Macho. Soccer was a great way to give this kiddo some direction under saddle. Look at these little athletes! 5yo (horse) and 8yo (kiddo)

Haven

This 4-year-old pinto from Terolyn Horse Rescue, inc. has been a blast to work with
She came in with a few rides under her belt but had some time off while recovering from an injury. Now that she is healed and back in work, she is proving to be a fun, willing young mare under saddle.
She has been picking up the basics quickly, carrying herself well, and gaining confidence with each ride. She is soft, athletic, and showing a great mind as she continues to learn.
We are excited about this girl’s progress and look forward to seeing what she can do as her training continues.

Clover aka Johnna Cena. This is the horse that suplexed me when she ran off and slipped in the barn alley on maybe our 15th ride.

Scott Guynn and I have each been riding her since he was hired on and I think having two riders working with her consistently has done her a world of good. Here she is trying out for the Caprock Equine LLC soccer team. I would like her to transition out of wrestling.

She is owned by Wild Hearts Haven and is available for adoption!

TRIGGER WARNING
This is a mustang, "Shelby" that I started a few years ago at Harmony Equine Center in Franktown. He was neck tagged as a yearling and seized by law enforcement as a 2 year old for obvious reasons. After his start, he went through the Right Horse Program at CSU. He was adopted by a loving family and it sounds like he's thriving as a trail horse.

Approaching 90 days on this 2yo by Metallic Cat out of a CD Lights mare. He passed the sneakers test this morning. Can't wait to see what he does in the future.

In honor of Meeker Mustang Makeover this weekend, here's a throwback to "Concho" at Riggs in Meeker last year. We were welcomed in with free drinks, but might have worn out our welcome when he s**t by the bar.
