2003, 15.2 1/4 hand gelding available for lease. A true Low Child/Adult Hunter machine, derby king and confidence builder with an automatic lead change, leg ride and all the miles. Troy can absolutely still do the 2’6”, but we would love to find him a 2’–2’3” job with the occasional 2’6” class. Knows his job, takes a joke and is just plain fun. 7 year old, 15 hand mare available for lease, lease to purchase or purchase. Sporty, comfortable and brave with a lead change and miles through the .85 jumpers. Quiet and easy on the flat with her own motor to the jumps. Best suited for a teen or small adult who likes a forward ride to the fences. Jumper ring is her happy place, but she would also be a blast on XC, can do the local hunter and trail rides. Low fives to lease, low/mid fives to buy.

2010, 13.0 hand medium pony mare available for yearly lease only. A true xrails through Short Stirrup packer type. Cute, safe and always jumps. She does have a lead change, but it is not easy for a kid to get, so we consider her a no-change pony but a lead landing queen. Loves to trail ride and knows how to be a kid’s best friend. Perfect for a xrail kiddo looking to move up to the short stirrup. In-barn lease highly preferred, but will consider lease to an excellent show home with great care. Four figures to lease. STORMY MOON | LILO
7 year old, 16 hand Thoroughbred mare available for care lease. Trainer owned (mine), but currently on my back burner. Previously coursing 2’6” with a lead change and currently flatting a couple times a week. She is ready for someone to put her back into a consistent program. Lilo is smart, sensitive and athletic, but can sometimes be reactive, so she needs a confident rider comfortable with a green type and some patience and stickability on a bad day. Lots of turnout is a big plus for her.

If you’re a trainer with a brave teen or adult who lives at the barn, can ride green ones, doesn’t have the budget to lease something but has the time and wants something to love, let’s talk. I’m more interested in finding Lilo the right person and a job than anything else. More hunter type, but I would not be opposed to some low level XC for her brain. 2010, 13.0 hand medium pony mare, very sadly outgrown and ready for her next kid! She is a true ground poles through Short Stirrup packer type. A great first pony lease. Cute as can be, always jumps, trail rides, knows how to smile and knows how to be a kid’s best friend. She does have a lead change, but it is not easy for a kid to get but is a landing lead queen.

As our amazing assistant heads off to college fulltime, Above the Bar Sport Horses is looking to add another person to our team to fill the gap.

Our immediate need is 3 days per week, but for the right person, I would be open to creating a full time position.

Above the Bar is a hunter/jumper program with a strong focus on hunters. I’m looking for someone 18+ who is confident and comfortable riding a variety of horses. A strong foundation in flatwork is important.

There will always be horses to ride, but this position is more than riding. Above the Bar is a fast moving program with both show clients and horses in our sales program, and I’m looking for someone who enjoys being involved in all the details that fit into keeping our program running smoothly.

Some days you may be helping ride several horses, other days you may be helping with sales videos and photos, setting courses, preparing for horse shows, organizing the barn, or taking care of the many little details that make a difference.

Jumping experience is not required, but it is a bonus. If jumping is something you are confident in, there will be plenty of opportunities but not required.

I’m looking for someone who can be a bit of a right hand or chaos coordinator. Someone who notices the little things, is one step ahead, and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty. The right person is dependable, organized, proactive, takes direction well, and takes pride in doing things the right way.

Expense/care lease opportunity available at Above the Bar Sport Horses in Franklin, KY. I am willing to get very creative for the right, committed person.

Lilo is a 7 year old, 16h Thoroughbred mare who is desperately wanting a person! She is trainer owned (mine), but currently somewhat on the back burner simply because there are only so many hours in the day. She really wants and needs a job, and more than anything, she needs someone committed to her.

She is smart, sensitive and bold. She will course around 2’6”, has an easy lead change and has the scope for more. She is still green and a bit mentally immature, so she needs a good riding teen or adult who understands green horses and actually enjoys the process. One day may be fantastic and the next may have you wondering if her brain is functioning properly. That said, she is really cool and has a ton of potential just needs consistency that I cannot give her right now.

I would love to find her an onsite care lease here at Above the Bar, but I would also consider an offsite lease to a GOOD, solid program with turnout for a junior or adult rider who needs something to ride under the guidance of a trainer.

If you’re a trainer with a gritty, scrappy kid or adult who lives at the barn, doesn’t have a huge budget or one at all, but needs something to love, ride and show, reach out.

I care much more about finding Lilo the right person than making a conventional lease deal. I do not want to sell her.

All reasonable offers considered for a quick sale before end of month, asking 10k! Super useful type finishing exercise rehab and is now started back over fences. Hunters/eq, little jumpers or would even clean up in dressage.

12yr old, 16.1 appendix gelding. Was jumping around 2’6” with a change before injury with plenty of scope for 3 foot. Solid Flatwork with a soft mouth and three nice gaits. Big stride and a super comfortable canter that you can sit all day. Could easily walk into a first level dressage test. Hunter/eq type that could go play in the jumpers as well. Cute, goofy personality and easy to have in the barn.

Wyatt Tore his Peroneus tertius in September. Has been given plenty of time to heal, proper follow ups from the vet and he is now back in full turnout (and has been for months) and under saddle flatting around 5 days a week, just started jumping and trail riding/hacking out. 100% Sound with no limitations.
