Faleen is STILL available!

We don’t know how everyone has passed up this stunning girl. She LOVES humans and is very social and approachable. She is 3 years old and already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Faleen will require brushing/grooming, every girl loves a good hair day! She would do best in a home with a similar sized, submissive dog! We think she would also do well as an only dog if she can hang around her human for a good part of the day. Faleen does need a home without chickens/ducks.

We are hoping to find this girl a home soon, she’s been here a while and it’s breaking our hearts to see her waiting.

Let’s talk about Skittles!

Skittles is such a special girl who has been overlooked at the shelter for a while. The result of this, is that she has become very shy. Skittles needs her own person, one who understands that she will need time to decompress and warm up to a new environment, a safe home.

The way to Skittles’ heart would definitely be another dog who wants to play. Skittles may be a little bit wary of humans, but her eyes light up when she sees other dogs! We highly recommend a home with another playful dog for Skittles to be the happiest that she can be. 🙂

We are hoping that someone reading this will come and meet this girl. She really is so special!

Skittles is already spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

We don’t understand how Woody was not adopted today!

Woody is great with other dogs AND kids! A total social butterfly of a dog. He would make the most amazing family pet. He is treat motivated, which will come in handy with training. He already seems to know how to sit!

We’re not sure what breed he is, but aren’t his little ears the cutest?

Woody is around 6-8 months old and 25 pounds (we can’t imagine him getting too much bigger). He has already been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

We’re hoping that between the attention he got at the event, and this post, we’ll find the family who’s been looking for a dog like him.

Which dog are you showing up to meet tomorrow? 👀❤️

Last reminder that we will be at the Morgan City Petting Zoo tomorrow from around 9:30-2! We don’t want to bring any dogs back to the shelter with us, we want them to be adopted to great homes!

Only a $100 adoption fee (cash or money order)!

Please share and encourage our community to show up for a shelter dog!

Reminder of our adoption outing this Saturday at Morgan City Petting Zoo from 8:30–2!

We will have Bentley, Woody, Faleen and Skittles in tow! They have all been altered, microchipped and are fully vaccinated! Our advocacy group is also tagging along to assist.

If you have questions, or are unsure which dog would fit your family best, come talk to us and we’ll be happy to help you!

🐾For this event, the adoption fee has been reduced to $100! Cash or money order, please. 🙂🐾

Come visit us, the rest of the vendors and the petting zoo animals! We really hope that we have success in finding all four dogs a safe and happy home to call their own.

Meet Bentley!

Bentley will be joining us at Morgan City Petting Zoo on Saturday from 8:30-2!

Bentley is active and full of life! He is a young guy, so keep in mind that he will need structure and maybe some training. He would love to join a family who has lots of time to play!

If you are interested in adopting Bentley, please come see us at the petting zoo on Saturday!
