Our chicken Snap has been sitting on eggs for a month (it’s winter silly chicken) and yesterday hatched one outside that sadly didn’t make it in the cold weather. We moved her inside last night and woke up to Comet this morning.

We got 2 new Svarthona Hens today from a wonderful local woman and we couldn't be more excited. She also gifted us with 13 eggs for us to try to hatch, so we will be learning to use our incubator sooner than we thought!

Tonight is very sad. We lost 2 roosters and 3 hens today to a fox, we are devastated and miss our chickens dearly. Goodby Kamikaze, Stryker, Ginger, Onyx and Charleigh. 😥
