🏹 Groomer Games Day 1 Update 🏹

The arena is alive.

District Trenton tribute Ren has encountered one of the most feared creatures in the Groomer Games:

🐺 The Husky.

Witnesses report the beast has chosen the ancient battle strategy known as “scream like I’m being murdered while absolutely nothing is happening.”

Current status:

🎤 Husky vocal volume: 11/10
🛁 Actual danger level: 0/10
😐 Ren’s patience: being tested by the gods themselves
📺 Everyone else in the salon: receiving a free concert

As cannon fire has not sounded, we can confirm both tribute and husky remain alive.

May the odds be ever in Ren’s favor. 🏹🐺💀

👍Sidenote just for any potential Karens - Nova is absolutely fine. She literally talked the entire time she was there and mom knows how dramatic she is but unfortunately she has to get a bath and blow out every once in awhile 😅🫡

For the next 30 days, our groomers and bathers will enter the arena and fight for survival against:

⚔️ husky glitter
⚔️ spinning nail trims
⚔️ dogs named Luna
⚔️ “he’s never done this before”
⚔️ and Saturday appointments

Our mail slot is right beside his kennel and apparently he felt called to ministry this morning. By the time we found the letter, he had already:
• opened it
• reviewed it
• partially consumed it
• and spread the gospel all over the kennel floor

Today was one of those days that reminds me just how deep this job really goes. 💔

Kacey wasn’t just a client dog to us. Him and his family were there almost from the very beginning — one of the original dogs that helped build Animal Arts into what it is today. In a lot of ways, dogs like Kacey helped fund my dream, my career, and these shops before they were ever truly established.

Today his mom brought me his paw prints, and honestly… it shattered me a little. 😭

People don’t realize how attached groomers get to your pets. We see them grow up, grow old, overcome fears, act ridiculous every 6 weeks like they own the place, and become part of our routine and our lives. We grieve them over and over again every year, and somehow it never gets easier.

Kacey was our big brave chicken. Tough one second, dramatic the next, and loved so deeply by all of us.

We will miss you more than words can explain, buddy. Thank you for being part of our story from the very beginning. 🐾

When booking online, you will see TWO options:

➡️ “I have a preferred groomer”
• Choose this if you want a specific location
• Each groomer is tied to a location (Franklin or Trenton)

➡️ “I’m good with anyone”
• This books the FIRST available appointment
• This can be at EITHER LOCATION
• You are NOT choosing a location with this option

⚠️ This is where the confusion is happening:
If you want a specific location but choose “I’m good with anyone,” you may be scheduled at the other shop.

• A confirmation with your location
• Reminder texts with your location
• A message asking you to confirm your appointment (reply Y or N)
• A same-day reminder with your location

Please review these messages carefully before arriving.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM ANIMAL ARTS 🚨

Local groomer… turned STAR?! 🎭✨

Our very own Ren has officially been CAST in the production of Annie — and we’re trying to figure out when she had time to casually become a theater icon between grooming appointments.

From handling doodles to stealing the spotlight, she’s out here doing BOTH.

If you thought she was talented with clippers… just wait until you see her on stage.

We are beyond proud and slightly concerned we may now need autographs in the break room.

Looking for a part-time groomer at our Franklin location with immediate hours available.

This position is temporary to start, with the potential to turn into a permanent role for the right person.

Must:
• Have grooming experience with references
• Be able to work independently (no hand-holding)
• Be reliable and show up ready to work
• Handle a steady pace confidently

If you’re consistent and do solid work, there’s definitely room to grow here.
