✨ Let’s talk about Comfort Grooms! ✨

A comfort groom is all about understanding that, as our sweet senior pups age, a cute, short all over haircut may be what’s best for them. ❤️

Keeping their coat short helps keep the mouth area clean from food debris, makes daily care easier, and allows them to go longer between haircuts.

No matter how hard I try to make every groom as stress free as possible, grooming can still be tiring or stressful for a vintage doggy who may be losing their hearing, vision, mobility, or just not feeling quite like themselves anymore.

That’s why comfort grooms are some of my absolute favorites. 🥹❤️

And let me tell you, you’d be surprised at just how CUTE these sweet seniors look with their little short haircuts! 🐾

Sometimes, the best groom isn’t about making them look perfect. It’s about making them feel comfortable, clean, and happy. ❤️

Oh, the things I get myself into! 😂 I mean, it’s always better to say YES and deal with the consequences later, right?! 😂

Long story short, a great friend texted me: “Hey, I found this dog on Facebook. They’re giving her away for free. Can you take her?” I said, “Sure! I’ll foster her and we’ll find her a home!” She was so cute, I figured finding her a family would be easy. 🥹

Well… meet Stevie! 🐶💗 Stevie was severely matted, so of course, she got a fresh start. But upon further inspection, we noticed her ni***es were swollen… 👀 We started putting two and two together, and well… one foster pup turned into AT LEAST seven foster pups! 😂 Stevie is a mama and she’s due pretty soon!

So, there are a few reasons for this post:

ONE: Y’all HAVE to meet Stevie! She is the sweetest angel, and she’s going to be such a wonderful mama. Her puppies will also need loving homes once they’re ready, so stay tuned! 🐾💕

TWO: I met the most amazing vet, and y’all have to know about her! I was so impressed with everything—the kindness, support, practice, prices, location, and especially Dr. Walsh. Stevie was so relaxed during her ultrasound; honestly, she looked like a little princess getting her pictures taken. 👑🥹

THREE: If you’d like to send a little donation toward Stevie and her babies, it would be greatly appreciated! She’ll need mama care, follow-up appointments, a spay, and of course, everything her babies will need. She’ll be receiving 100% of the Bailey Way—lots of love, the best care we can provide, and a fresh start. 💓🐾

1. I’m a total tomboy… but I LOVE a good rom-com—especially anything with J.Lo 🍿💕

2. My favorite animals are ocean animals (belugas have my heart 🐋)… but I’m lowkey terrified of the ocean 🌊

3. My wife and I have the same name—yep, we’re both Raquel. And no, we didn’t take each other’s last name because… chaos 🏳️‍🌈👭❤️

4. I love dogs with my whole heart—but I also love kids just as much! They call me “Chefie,” and I’m definitely the cool aunt… but I’m also a total sucker for those cute faces, so I never say no 🥹💛
