Benson my boy you were taken from me sooner than I ever expected 💔 my heart hurts so much and I miss you more than anything. Thank you for being my protector and showing me so much unconditional love. From the moment you were born we had a bond that was unbreakable. I’m so grateful I got to share these past 2.5 years with you by my side. I wish I knew our time was so short, I would have held you a little longer every single day. Well we didn’t get the news we were hoping for. The vet called this morning and Benson has a very rare type of cancer called splenic stromal sarcoma. Chemo wouldn't make a difference so we plan to spoil him and make the best of what time we have left! We are looking at 8-9 months

Benson had to have emergency surgery yesterday. He hadn’t been wanting to eat the last week so we took him to the vet and they did a X-ray and then an ultrasound. Come to find out he had lots of tumors all over his spleen. A splenic tumor. They removed it and it’s being sent off. It weighed 3 lbs! Normal is less than a lb. We’ll find out in a week if it’s benign or not. Send healing vibes his way
