Saving Tails Animal Rescue & Outreach (STAR) is a non profit 501c3 comprised solely of volunteers dedicated to homeless, neglected, abused and chained animals. Our rescue mission is to heal, fix, microchip and find loving families for homeless animals. Our outreach mission is to educate owners of chained and neglected animals to improve their living conditions by providing supply assistance such as insulated dog houses, straw, quality food and vet care. We get dogs into kennels to free them from chains and we work to spay and neuter all the animals to break the cycle and where improvements cannot be made, we work towards a surrender to find a new home for that animal. We are working actively to improve local animal welfare laws and ordinances and we believe that burning both ends of the candle is the only way to accomplish our mission successfully. Thank you for supporting us and our mission!

Sleeping inside just hits differently when you've spent your life outside, chained up and exposed to the elements.

Boots has officially discovered the good life and we think he's getting pretty comfortable. 🥹

Now all he needs is a forever home where he can sleep this peacefully every single night.

Boots is ready for adoption! Help us find this sweet boy his happily ever after!

Every dog deserves this kind of peace. ❤️

🎉 YAY FOR BOOTS!!! FREEDOM RIDE!!! 🐾❤️

PEACE OUT, FLINT!!! ✌️

No more sleeping outside. No more fighting the elements. No more freezing Michigan winters.

YOU'RE SAFE NOW, BUDDY!!! ❤️

Boots is officially on his freedom ride! He's making his way to the vet, and then we're hoping to find him an AMAZING family who will love him for the rest of his life as much as we already do!

Another black dog who needed someone to give him a chance. And we're so glad we could be that someone. 🖤 Fostering saves lives!

PLEASE SHARE BOOTS! Help us find this sweet boy his forever home so we can make room to save the next one.

Winter is coming FAST, and there are so many more dogs just like Boots still out there, sleeping in the cold and waiting for their chance.

We can't save them all, but with your help, we can keep saving them one at a time. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Chamerican Ink Tattoo Studio for hosting a flash tattoo fundraiser for Saving Tails Animal Rescue this past weekend! 🖤

Their artists raised nearly $500 for the animals! We are so grateful to the entire crew for donating their time, talent, and hard work to help our rescue babies!

And of course, a big thank you to everyone who stopped by, got some fresh ink and supported a great cause! Every dollar helps us continue doing what we do.

Did you make it out?! Let's see those new tattoos! Drop a picture in the comments! 🐾
