Our long time pal Sophie passed recently after a long and wonderful life. I know I have pictures of her as a puppy somewhere but without a deep dive into my external storage, I couldn’t find them. But that’s how long she’s been with us.
Sophie was shy and snuggly and so so sweet. She was one of those dogs that you could always count on to just enjoy the hike and take it all in without causing problems or shenanigans. She stopped coming on hikes a few years ago when her achey legs got the better of her. But we still got to see her for barks and pets every week when we picked up her brother, Oscar.
It’s been sad this last week seeing her empty crate next to his but we know she lived the fullest and most loved life right up until the end. We never get enough time with our four legged family. Our thoughts are with her family and Oscar as they navigate this loss.
Rest easy Soph. We love you. ❤️🐾🌈
