is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of Pit Bull Terrier type dogs. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been so sorely absent from their lives. Working closely with animal shelters, animal control facilities and rescue organizations and volunteers throughout New England, we strive to save as many dogs as our resources will allow. All dogs who successfully pass our temperament evaluation are placed into loving foster homes where they are provided with quality veterinary care, initial training, and extensive socialization (with both people and animals of all ages). All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. As experienced Pit Bull parents, all of our volunteers are happy to assist potential fosters and adopters with any questions or concerns they may have at every stage of each of our dogs’ lives, and beyond. Potential adopters are provided with applicable information relating to the specific dog that they are interested in. Although we do not accept dogs into our program that show aggression toward other dogs, we prefer to place our rescued dogs as only pets or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.¹

Our strict adoption policies include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive application process (with personal and vet reference checks), an initial phone screen, and a home visit. Please read our Adoption Policies on our website for more detailed information.

¹ It is important to distinguish the difference between dog/animal aggression and human aggression. Human aggression is not a normal trait of pit bull-type dogs.

🏡💗 SQUEAKERS GOES HOME! 💗🏡

Our sweet, bouncy girl Squeakers has officially found her forever home! 🥹🐾

At just 10 months old, Squeakers came to us from our friends Thomas J O'Connor Animal Contr. She was still learning the ropes of being a family dog, and now she gets to start her next chapter with Kevin and family by her side! From her happy little heart to her puppy enthusiasm, this girl has so much love to give, and we couldn’t be happier that she’s found someone to share it with. ❤️

A big thank-you to her amazing fosters, Liz and Shae, for opening their home to Squeakers, helping her learn and grow, and getting her ready for this exciting next chapter. 💕

💙🏡 GIUSEPPE NOW GUS GOES HOME! 🏡💙

Some happy endings take a little longer, but they’re always worth fighting for. 🥹🐾

Our sweet Giuseppe, formerly known as Screech, has officially found his forever home! After a previous placement wasn’t the right fit, this special little guy got another chance to find the family he deserved and we couldn’t be happier with how his story ends. 💙

A huge thank-you to his original fosters, Mary, Veronica, and Ava, and his prior adopters, Sarah and Chris, for continuing to advocate for Gus and never settling until his perfect match came along. It takes a village to find the right home, and Gus had an incredible one fighting in his corner. ❤️

Enter Marvin, who had lost his beloved Frenchie, Miles, but was ready to open his heart and home to another frenchie in need. 🥹 Sometimes love finds its way back to us in a new little package, and we have a feeling Gus is in the right spot.

Happy life, Gus! May your days be filled with cozy naps, endless treats, and all the love your little heart can hold. You were worth the wait! 💙🐾

🎃🐈‍⬛ Meet Salem! 🐈‍⬛🎃
Something tells us this little guy was born under a lucky Halloween moon, because Salem is pure puppy magic! 🖤✨ This happy, confident little man came to us from our friends at Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center in Springfield. He greets everyone with a wiggly body, a wagging tail, and enough personality to make you wonder if he’s secretly possessed by a very silly gremlin. 😂👻
Salem is a playful, curious, bouncy little guy who thinks EVERYTHING is an adventure. Toys? Amazing. Bones? Fantastic. His foster sister? His favorite chew toy. 😭 He loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, exploring the world, and making the funniest little noises you’ve ever heard. He’s also incredibly sweet, generous with kisses, and fully convinced that your bed is his personal throne. 🥹💕
This little pumpkin is already doing great with potty training and is sleeping through the night like a champ! He’s still a puppy, though, so shoes, rugs, and anything left within reach may mysteriously disappear. 🪄 He’ll need a family ready to keep up with his puppy energy, continue his socialization, and help him grow into the confident, well-rounded dog he’s meant to be.
Salem would love a family with plenty of time for play, adventures, cuddles, and endless pig ears. A playful canine sibling could be a great match with the right introduction, too!

🐾 Meet Onyx! 🖤
With football season in full swing, we’d like to introduce you to the newest running back! Onyx came to us from our friends Worcester Animal Rescue League. He is a goofy, affectionate, high-energy young guy who’s ready to be your adventure buddy and professional meatball! I mean-look at that noggin!!🤣
He loves walks, park adventures, hiking, checking out squirrels, and exploring everything life has to offer. He’s still working on his leash manners and house training, but he’s a smart boy who’s already learning to let his people know when it’s potty time!
When he’s not busy being a curious little explorer, Onyx is happy to curl up on the couch with a bone or Kong—and he’s even known to snooze during car rides! He has a big personality, a playful spirit, and a surprisingly gentle soul beneath all that puppy energy. 🥹
Onyx would thrive with an active family who wants a four-legged sidekick for adventures, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. He’s done well with other dogs and may enjoy a playful canine companion with the right introduction and match. If you’re looking for a lovable goofball to keep life fun, Onyx is your guy! 🖤🐾

💕 Meet Squeakers! 💕

At just 10 months old, Squeakers is still figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing—and she’s doing it with the sweetest little heart. ❤️

This beautiful girl came to us from our friends Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center in Springfield after coming to them as an emaciated puppy. She is gentle, submissive, and incredibly sweet, with a wonderful temperament that makes her easy to adore. She’s still learning her house manners and all the basics of being a family dog, so she’ll need a home that can continue showing her the ropes.

And then there’s the bounce! 😂 Squeakers is jumpy, bouncy, and full of puppy enthusiasm. Personal space? She’s still working on that lesson!

She’s looking for a family who can give her structure, love, and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Underneath all that puppy energy is an affectionate, eager-to-please girl who just needs someone to help her become the amazing dog she’s meant to be. 🥰🐾

Meet Velma!🥔🤎
This low-riding potato — and yes, she truly is one, as she can stand to lose a few pounds — came to us from our friends City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. She is currently in treatment for heartworm disease, so she is not quite ready for adoption just yet. But she is too special not to share with the world now.
If you’re looking for a lovable little sidekick with snuggle energy, this sweet girl is your match. She is friendly, snuggly, mellow, and full of charm — the kind of dog who wants to be wherever her person is, preferably pressed right up against them like a tiny couch ornament.
She loves the simple things in life: cozy naps, gentle walks, a little park time, and plenty of cuddle time. She’s calm in the car, easy on leash, and has a wonderfully easygoing personality. At home, she’s happiest curled up close, soaking up love and keeping you company like the best little shadow around.
Her favorite things include her stuffed bear, marrow bones, crinkly toys, and tasty treats like cheese. She’s playful in the cutest way with happy little play bows, and her adorable grunts and snoring make her even more lovable — truly a whole personality in one tiny potato body.🥔🥔🥔

🍼💗 DOT GOES HOME! 💗🍼

Our sweet little Dot has officially found her forever family! 🥹🏡

Dot came to us from our friends Dakin Humane Society. She was one of four tiny puppies, but sadly, she was the only one who survived. From the very beginning, she had a fighter’s spirit—and thanks to her incredible foster mom Andrea, who bottle-fed and lovingly cared for her, this little girl got her chance to grow, thrive, and find her happily ever after. 🥹💕

Now, Dot is heading home to Mom Lori, Dad John, and big sister Danielle, with her new 4-legged sibling Bella waiting to welcome her! 🐾💗

From a tiny bottle baby to a beloved family member—what a journey. Happy life, sweet Dot! 🍼➡️🏡💗

💕 Meet Darling! 💕
Darling truly lives up to her name. She came to us from our friends Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a severely emaciated stray. When she first arrived, it was clear she had been through so much—she was broken, frightened, and badly mistreated. She couldn’t make eye contact, walk down the stairs, or even wag her tail. But within just one day, her foster family began to see something beautiful happening: a little light starting to come back.. And now? Darling is SO HAPPY. Her whole body wiggles with excitement, she gives endless kisses, and she’s discovering that the world can actually be a wonderful place. 💗
She’s still learning how to “dog” but she gains confidence every day. She loves to frolic, prance, play, and explore, but she also settles beautifully and is perfectly content curled up in her person’s lap while they work or read. She’s a true cuddle bug who wants to be wherever her people are—and yes, she absolutely needs to sleep in your bed. 🥰
Darling is learning about toys and has recently discovered tug, chasing balls, and the joys of chewing on a good pig ear. She walks nicely on leash and she would LOVE a fenced yard where she can zoom and prance to her heart’s content. She’s also been good with cats! 🐱💕
She is still working hard on house training, so her new family will need to continue helping her learn. Most importantly, Darling needs someone who understands her journey and will continue showing her that she is safe, loved, and never needs to be afraid again.
And perhaps the best thing about Darling? After everything she’s been through, she chose love. She wakes up every morning ready to wiggle her entire body, shower her person with kisses, and celebrate another day of being safe. Her foster says her morning routine brings endless joy—and we can absolutely see why. 💗🐾
Darling is ready for a family who will give her a safe home, a yard to frolic in, a bed to sleep in, and a whole lot of love. This sweet girl has so much happiness left to discover. 🥹💕

Meet Lady Lou!
Lady Lou came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control, and this sweet girl is already stealing hearts! 🥹 This itty bitty pittie weighing in at only 36lbs is super sweet, loves to cuddle, and is always ready for a good belly scratch. 🩷
She’s potty trained, great with cats and other dogs, and happiest when she’s right by your side. Wherever you go, Lady Lou wants to go too! 🥰
This girl may be one of the most well-behaved dogs you’ll ever meet! She’s the kind of companion who makes life just a little sweeter. 💕🐶
