🔥 BROTHERHOOD, TRUST, AND TRANSITION FIRES 🔥
When the heat is on, teamwork isn't just a word—it’s a lifeline.
This past week, Four Oaks Fire stepped onto the training ground alongside our brothers and sisters from Elevation Fire Department, 50-210 Fire Department, and West Johnston Fire Department for some intensive mutual aid training on LP Gas Tank Fires.
Even with the thermometer hitting a grueling 95 degrees, these crews didn't skip a beat.
A Huge Thank You to Our Hosts 🙌
First and foremost, we want to extend a massive thank you to Elevation Fire Department for hosting this excellent training evolution. Providing the facility, coordination, and resources for an operation of this scale takes a lot of work behind the scenes, and we appreciate your hospitality!
Building Trust Across District Lines
LP gas incidents are low-frequency but high-risk events that require absolute precision. Controlling these fires requires seamless communication, flawless hose line coordination, and an immense amount of trust in the person next to you. Standing side-by-side in the blistering heat ensures that when the real call comes, our operations are seamless.
👀 Look Closely:
If you look closely at the photos—and if you know these two, you might notice a couple on familiar faces from APD and AFD. Word on the street is they are currently drafting up a very official-sounding explanation on how this "technically doubled as a vital inter-agency training exercise" for them, too! 😉 We'll let them have this one because we love the crossover.
District lines on a map don't protect people—well-trained, versital and unified firefighters do!
Thank you again to Elevation Fire for hosting and to everyone who came out, sweated through their gear, and put in the work to keep all of our communities safer.
