Two gentle souls who have lost the only home they’ve ever known.

These beautiful girls spent their entire lives with the woman who raised and adored them from puppyhood 🥹💕 Then heartbreak struck when their beloved mom passed away. Suddenly, everything familiar was gone. And through all of it… they have remained nothing but kind, loving, calm, and incredibly sweet 💛

Scarlett and Sida Bay are the kind of dogs who instantly make a house feel like home 🏡✨ They don’t ask for much. A soft place to nap 🛋️☀️, a loving human nearby 🤎, and most importantly… each other 🐾🐾

They live beautifully with other dogs and currently share their foster home with two large resident dogs, a male and female. 🐕🐕 They are house trained, respectful, social, easygoing, and genuinely delightful companions.

These girls are not demanding. No marathon hikes required 🚫🥾😂 They are perfectly content with short strolls, sunny naps ☀️, cozy beds 🛏️, and simply being near the people they love.

Scarlett weighs 81 pounds and has the softest, sweetest soul 💕

Scarlett does have hypothyroidism, but it is very easy and inexpensive to manage 💊 The rescue will PAY for her medication! 🙌 Her prescription is a generic thyroid medication that costs only about $17 for 120 tablets on Chewy.

Poor Duncan needs a break....and we don't mean more teeth. After his vet appointment on May 7th after he arrived we learned this poor guy as some serious dental issues going on. Since then we have been working on getting estimates on how much we are looking at to get him ready for his forever home. We were unaware of him having any issues until after he arrived. This guy is already the sweetest boy you could ever meet. Today we received the estimated from 2nd Chances and we are looking at somewhere between $1500-2500 for his dental. We are hoping to lower it a little since he just had a full blood work panel completed at the vet on May 7th. We will hopefully know when he can get in this week for his dental and hoping that it's very soon. As I know this boy would really love to get into his forever home as soon as possible and that will be determined by when his dental can be completed.

Meet Dakota,
Dakota found himself in a sticky situation because his owner passed away and now has been with us since February with no interest. We did learn that he was originally adopted from a local rescue that is no longer operating. Dakota is up to date on vaccines until 2027 and neutered. He has not lived with other dogs since he was adopted so currently we are unsure how he is with other dogs or cats. We are also unsure how he is with small kids as his previous owner did not have kids either. We do know he is ok being around people in wheelchairs though. Dakota will bark at other animals through windows doesn't matter if it's at home or a vets office.

Dakota is looking for a place to live his golden years. We had him at the vet yesterday to have a large lypoma looked at and discovered he does have a heart murmur and add that with age and he is not a candidate for surgeries of any type and just needs to live his best life. He currently is overweight and working on losing about 30lbs to be healthy and that could take care of the lypoma and murmur as it was only a grade two which isn't terrible. Also the weight loss will help him get in and out of vehicles as currently you do have to pick him up and that is a chore as he currently weights 100lbs and should be about 70 for his build.

Meet Heaven,
Heaven didn't have the best life until today. She is one of the girls from the cruelty case in Amarillo and she is ready for her best life. Heaven is somewhere between 2-4 years old from what we have gathered from her microchip. This super sweet girl deserves the best. She is already fully vetted. With some of her tendencies it would be best if she isn't in a home with other female dogs as she would likely escalate fights with other females and she's already been through enough in this life time. Heaven definitely needs help on her basic obedience other than sit she doesn't have many manors and needs work on even her leash walking. She will need someone with patients and willing to work on training with her.

Ada found herself in a terrible place and is now looking for her forever home. She is a super sweet but spicy red head that will keep you on your toes. She is good with other dogs. We are unsure how she would be with cats but I don't suspect she should be in a home with cats. She does need work on her obedience training as so far other than sit she doesn't have much manners. But she makes up for it because she's cute. From her body you can tell she has been bred a few times in her life already which that life is behind her now as she is already spayed. She needs a home that is going to truly let her blossom in to the girl she is meant to be.

Meet Daphne,
Daphne was found in a hoarding situation in Amarillo TX. She had been left in a house for over two months and was in a home in very deplorable conditions. Despite her past life and with the help of a rescue partner in Amarillo she is now looking for her best life. Daphne is estimated to be around 2 years old. She is good with other dogs and cats. We have no reason to suspect that she is not good with kids but hasn't been around very many since being found. You could not ask for a sweeter dog despite her past. Daphne is already fully vetted and ready for her forever home!

Meet Duncan,
Duncan is a super sweet boy that found himself in a terrible situation. He was found living in terrible conditions after his owner went to jail in December. He has been waiting for his forever home since February in Amarillo and due to no interest he is now with us hoping he can find his forever home. Duncan was in the same home with Daphne. He is estimated to be between 6-7 years old we are unsure if he is that old but you can definitely tell by his grey face he has some stories to tell. Duncan is good with other dogs and has been cat tested. He is already fully vetted and waiting for his forever home.
