A quick update from Pure Pawsitivity™.

We will no longer be carrying OC RAW products.

This was not a change we anticipated, nor was it a decision we initiated. However, after taking time to reflect, we've come to see it as an opportunity to move more fully in the direction we were already heading.

Over the past year, we've continued refining our philosophy, standards, and approach to pet wellness. As we've grown, we've found ourselves placing greater importance on the products, practices, and partnerships that align most closely with what we believe serves pets and their families best.

While this transition was unexpected, we're grateful for the clarity it has brought.

We also recognize that many families relied on these products because they made raw feeding more accessible. We understand this may create challenges for some of our customers, and we do not take that lightly. Our commitment remains the same: to help you find the best possible options for your pets and support you through any transition.

We will continue searching far and wide for products, ingredients, and partnerships that meet the standards we believe your pets deserve. That work never stops.

Studies show that cats can recognize human emotions through a combination of scent, facial expressions, body language, and vocal cues.

In fact, research suggests that cats may respond differently when exposed to scents associated with human fear, stress, or happiness, indicating that they can detect emotional information through smell alone.

Cats are incredibly observant creatures. They notice changes in our routines, our energy, our behavior, and even the chemical signals our bodies release during times of stress.

This is one of the reasons we believe feline wellness is about so much more than food, supplements, or symptoms.

A cat’s health is influenced by their body, mind, environment, daily experiences, and the emotional climate of the home they share with us.

The more we learn, the more we’re reminded that everything is connected. 💞🔗

Speak Rescue and Sanctuary is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a primary focus on rescuing double merle dogs, many with vision and/or hearing impairments. We are completely run by volunteers who offer their hearts and homes to help save as many lives as possible.

Double merles are dogs who have inherited two copies of the merle gene, a desirable coat pattern in many dog breeds. There is a 25% chance for this to occur when two merle dogs are bred together.

Double merles have a primarily white coat, eyes that do not develop properly (microphthalmia), and hearing deficiencies due to a lack of pigment.

Double merles are completely preventable with responsible breeding, which includes accessible genetic testing to determine whether or not a dog carries the merle gene.

While we wish they did not have to live with their impairments, these dogs do not know what they are missing. Many go on to lead happy, joyful lives filled with love, toys, and treats. You may have to communicate differently with them, such as using sign language or touch cues, but these dogs are sharp, intelligent, and up to the challenge as long as you are!

Our mission is to both help these dogs find loving homes and educate as many people as possible about double merles and how to prevent them.

This was one of those days that reminded us why we started Pure Pawsitivity™ in the first place.

We had the honor of welcoming Dr. Rob Silver out to our Fountain Hills pet wellness studio while he was in town for a conference, and we’re genuinely grateful for the time together, the conversation, and the shared passion for helping animals live healthier lives.

For those familiar with holistic veterinary medicine, Dr. Silver has been part of this work for decades, helping pave the way for many of the conversations happening in pet wellness today. A true trailblazer. What stood out most to us though was simply his humility, kindness, and openness.

We spent the evening talking shop, sharing ideas, enjoying dinner, and connecting over a mutual love for animals and education. Moments like this remind us that meaningful change happens through good people coming together with honest intentions.

Grateful for the visit, the wisdom, and the continued reminder that this movement is bigger than any one person.

One month. That’s all it took for Nova’s life to change 🐾

When we adopted our 8-year-old German Shepherd, she came to us struggling, with lipomas, open wounds, irritated skin, yeast buildup, ear infections, constant itching and shaking, and a very anxious, overwhelmed nervous system.

Today, 1 months later, she’s a completely different dog.

Through daily care, intentional nutrition, consistent training, and real attention, Nova is finally thriving. She’s calmer, stronger, happier, even jumping into the car on her own now, something she couldn’t do before. Her spark is back, and it’s only getting brighter.
