Can you imagine having 14 of these little stones in your bladder? We removed these this week after a stone dissolving diet failed to dissolve them. PLEASE ALWAYS have a minimum of a urinalysis done if your kitty is having any symptoms related to urine ("spraying", urinating small amounts frequently, urinating on things, etc). If there is blood, an ultrasound and/or x-rays may detect something painful that can be fixed. This little lady is fortunate her family took care of this so she can be comfortable again 💗🐈🐾
Pro tip: this happens significantly less often in cats that eat a lot of wet food
Pro tip #2: rarely are urinary symptoms in cats (that aren't seniors or have a specific predisposing factor) from actual bacterial infection
