Good morning wonderful DFW folks!! As you can see in this weeks forecast, hell is trying to poke its ugly head in around here! If you have an outdoor pig scheduled for this week 21-23 July, PLEASE make preparations now! Shade, fans, moving them into a cooled space, swamp coolers, something! I will not be working on any pigs that cannot be easily and quickly caught(lower stress by no chasing) pigs not in shade(a portable canopy would be amazing if you have one!) or in an area with stagnant air(I have a portable fan but it alone can only do so much). Please refrain from spraying your pigs off at all until after their trim. When I arrive, if I see any signs of heat stress(usually panting is a big one) I will have to refuse services until another time to keep your pigs safe. Let’s work together and keep your pig friends safe!!!

HOUSTON! Please also watch the weather. I know it can be vastly different from up here, but same information applies as I know I am coming down next week! Outdoor pigs MUST be kept cool without being sprayed with water! I don’t want to reschedule anyone but for the safety of the animals, I will if needed.

If your pigs live primarily outside, I will continue to push that everyone makes a more permanent area dedicated to trim appointments. One that is weather resistant so that we don’t have to have cancellations and reschedules due to the weather(rain, heat, etc) Trims happen frequent enough on most outdoor pigs that a permanent area should be warranted. Not only for weather but for safety as well. Some less permit structures can pose risks of injury since pigs are smarter than their own good and will try to escape things when I arrive 😂 my goal is to only have cancellations of weather for road conditions. Not because the pig is standing in rain, mud, snow or because it’s hot as Hades outside 😊

Thank you everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 😊

Remember to stay cool everyone!! Barrett’s staying cool and giving me the same experience as most of you who use these kiddy pools 😂

When it’s hot out and you have an outdoor piggy, please make sure our trim space is cool! Shade and fans help keep things cooler for everyone! When the temps start creeping over 90-95, it’s time to rethink our trim setups!

Remember, this is something that happens multiple times a year. Through rain or shine, we need a dedicated outdoor trim space to accommodate these needs! Rescheduling due to weather conditions for the safety of your pig is getting harder and harder due to full schedules. I may not be able to see you in a timely manner! Let’s make a trim pen that can withstand those rain showers and hot days! A raised platform(for mud prevention) and cover help with rain, as well as keeping us cool when it’s hot. Added fans in the summer keep the air moving so your pig who doesn’t do well in the heat, can keep cooler!

If you need help and ideas for trim setups, I am more than happy to help give you ideas for the areas you have!!

George and I will try this again! 💁‍♀️

If you need to contact us about scheduling or questions regarding your pig, please contact Nicole at (940)255-8509 OR the also amazing Holly at (940)255-4103. Please do not contact my personal number ☺️

They will be much better at answering your questions, especially regarding scheduling! Heck, I don’t usually know where I’m going until the night before 😂

IF it’s an emergency, then please feel free to reach out to me in my personal phone number, which is the 509 number. Otherwise your messages or phone calls may be missed. I’m usually standing over a pig, driving, or enjoying my personal time. I will do my best to get back to you!

I made the mistake in not investing in a work number and I don’t want to throw a new number at everyone after 6 years 😂 it tends to get confusing, I know! But I’m finally back from my military training mission from the Philippines and am spending time with family in WA. I’ll be back to work starting Tuesday the 9th! Thank you everyone for being awesome!
