Hey everyone,
I wanted to give y’all a little life update since a few people have reached out asking. I haven’t been posting much on the Happy Tails business page lately, but I’m still fully operating and taking care of all the pups here. Regular clients have still been getting their usual pupdates and photos — business hasn’t stopped, I’ve just been quieter online.
I’ve also gotten a few not-so-kind messages from new inquiries upset that I didn’t respond fast enough. Please understand that my top priority will always be the dogs currently in my care, followed by my regular clients checking for space. New requests come after that — and if a quick response time is a dealbreaker, that’s okay, just go elsewhere because rude people will not be allowed. Kindness goes a long way....
Beyond Happy Tails, I’m still working with Apollo Support & Rescue and starting a small boutique that will feature Halara products (my first show is this Tuesday — message me if you’d like the info!).
Now for something a little more personal — I haven’t been feeling great lately. I’ve been drained, body aches, and stress or lack of sleep i thought was just related to my adrenal insufficiency. Unfortunately, after some recent bloodwork and a routine mammogram, a 6mm tumor was found. Since then, I’ve been in a bit of a fog, taking things day by day and waiting on further imaging to see what’s ahead.
I’m sharing this not for sympathy, but as a reminder that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — “In October, we wear pink.” Please don’t put off your mammogram, even if you feel fine or are in your 30s like me. Early detection truly matters.
The shirt I’m wearing says “Show Me Your Pitties” — it’s available through Apollo Support & Rescue, and every purchase helps animals in need!! We also have all sorts of breeds/ dog mom shirts and tumblers! Great Christmas gifts!
Time to hope for the best but expect the worst as I climb yet another mountain. 💪🎀
