Ok here is a huge FYI…look no need to get offended if I say your dog is matted… when I ask for a pic and I can see what every single groomer would see if they had eyeballs please don’t take that as an insult .. you are not doing your dog any good .. by protecting your ego because that’s what it amounts to
…shame guilt whatever don’t get mad at me when I say your dog is matted and then tell me no he’s not I just bathe him .. well if that was the magic potion all groomers would be out of quite a bit of business if we could bathe the mats away .. truth be told you bathing a matted dog is the worst thing you can do cuz water will make the mats tighter on the skin causing undo pain and discomfort for your pet and it certainly won’t be any better by being insulted by what a professional sees in the condition. Of your dogs coat …. It costs us money to
Groom matted dogs .. it’s wear and tear on our tools and dulls the blades almost instantly and a groomer telling you your dog is matted is relaying a message that means no finger pointing .. it takes more time involves huge risk of cutting the skin if the mats are severe enough and there is more involved that you don’t realize . Relieve a dog of constant discomfort many a times because an owner felt insulted at my info that im passing along .. facts are facts and me as a groomer and a human do not pass judgement .. in fact I think I’m the only groomer that takes the ones other groomers refuse.. I realize things get away from us and sometimes that means our pets care can too… it’s ok but to deny the fact that the dog is matted is foolish and gets none of us anywhere… if you cannot take a metal comb from the skin out …. YOUR DOG is MATTED 🤷‍♀️sorry to whoever I spoke to this morning … yes they took offense and yes your dog is matted and if you keep giving it baths in that condition only the dog will know what I am talking about 🤘no one has any feelings anymore except when I tell them they have a matted dog ! The only one suffering from inflated egos is the poor dog 😔
