🐾💙 An Important Announcement 💙🐾
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Dr. Chris Brooks, who has dedicated over 40 years of his life to the practice of veterinary medicine. Since 1984, Dr. Brooks has been a passionate advocate for the health and well-being of animals, and a cherished friend and caregiver to their families. His retirement marks the end of an era, not only for Westridge Animal Hospital but for the countless pets and people whose lives he has touched. Dr. Brooks’ retirement will be effective January 1, 2026, and he will no longer be taking surgery appointments after December 15, 2025.
Dr. Brooks has always gone above and beyond, offering not only his exceptional skills and knowledge but also his deep empathy and love for every animal under his care. Whether comforting a nervous pet, performing life-saving procedures, or simply sharing a smile with a worried pet owner, Dr. Brooks has been a calming presence to all who walked through our doors. His relationships with his patients and clients have always been built on trust, respect, and genuine compassion.
For Dr. Brooks, veterinary medicine was never just a profession—it was a calling. His dedication to providing the best possible care, paired with his heartfelt connections with clients, has made him a beloved figure in the community. He will be greatly missed, not just for his professional expertise, but for his kindness, his listening ear, and his unwavering commitment to the pets he cared for like his own.
With Dr. Brooks' retirement, Westridge Animal Hospital will not be bringing another veterinarian into the office. While this was a difficult decision, we want to ensure all our clients and their pets have access to continued high-quality veterinary care. We have several trusted recommendations for nearby veterinary practices and are happy to help you transition your pet's care smoothly to a new clinic.
As he embarks on this new chapter of life, we celebrate not just the legacy of his work, but the legacy of the countless lives he has improved—both human and animal alike. Dr. Brooks leaves behind a legacy of excellence, compassion, and love that will continue to inspire us for years to come.
We wish Dr. Brooks all the best as he enjoys this well-deserved retirement. He will forever be a part of the Westridge family, and his impact on this practice and community will never be forgotten.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Brooks on his retirement and thanking him for the incredible difference he has made in the lives of so many.
Warmly,
The Westridge Animal Hospital Team
