Evris, now Ella was one of our longest fosters. We picked her up from the Garland Shelter in March. She stayed with us until her May transport with . When she came to us she was heart worm positive. During her stay, we took her to get her HW shot and make sure there were no complications, kept her calm and low energy.
Ella was/is an amazing dog! Her and her brother were dumped at the shelter by their owner for “being too big”… well his loss was ours and the new fosters gain! She was/is so sweet, gentle and just wanted to be loved! When we got her she has severe separation anxiety. We taught her it was ok for us not to be there, that we were coming back and as the days went on she got better. She played so well with Ido and Kannoli, they played and went on walks together too!
We are pretty sure Ella was open fed, meaning her owner just put a bag out and she and her brother just ate however much whenever. Getting her on a food routine was something she wasn’t used to haha. Once she got the hang of it, she would make loud noises with her bowl to let us know she was done 🤣 . Great Pyrenees are amazing dogs all around. Each one comes with thier own personality and quirks but mostly all of them are calm, loving and fun!
God speed Ella girl, we loved having you, already miss you and pray you find the most perfect home when time comes!!
