A0061142477

This approximately 4-week-old kitten arrived today in need of medical support. Upon intake, she was noted to have ocular discharge from both eyes and an open wound on her neck that contained maggots. Shelter staff flushed and cleaned the wound, removed as many maggots as possible, and gave her a bath after fly eggs were found throughout her fur. She was also noted to have a significant flea infestation.

After her eyes were cleaned, it was noted that her left eye appeared abnormal and may be missing or underdeveloped, though further evaluation will be needed to determine the extent of any issues.

Due to her young age and medical concerns, she would benefit from placement with a rescue that can provide continued care and monitoring.

🚨 Medical Rescue Needed 🚨

A0061142345 is a young kitten in urgent need of rescue placement due to significant injuries affecting his mobility.

This 6-week-old kitten arrived with injuries to his rear end. He is currently non-weight-bearing on his hind legs and has difficulty bringing them underneath himself when attempting to walk. Medical staff have noted that he does have sensation in both rear legs, which is encouraging, but he is not voluntarily moving his tail and has bruising in his pelvic area.

At this time, it is still unclear whether he is able to urinate and have bowel movements on his own, and he will require continued monitoring and medical evaluation. Given his age and condition, he would greatly benefit from placement with a rescue that can provide the specialized care and observation he needs.

Parker 61135775 - is a 6-year-old intact female that is highly infested with sarcoptic mange (didn't even have to move the microscope once focused to see all the bugs swimming around). Her eyes are swollen shut from the infestation and she is crusted all over.

She is very sweet but since her eyes are swollen shut, she jumps whenever you touch her at first but doesn't try to bite or swat. If you scratch on her, she becomes your best friend, she will greet you at the front of the kennel meowing wanting interaction.

Koba urgently needs placement with a rescue experienced in working with fearful, shut-down dogs.

This 2-year-old, 22-pound boy came into the shelter with five other dogs and is struggling significantly with the shelter environment. Koba is extremely fearful and overwhelmed, spending his time huddled in the corner of his kennel with pronounced stress signals, including whale eyes and an inability to relax.

Due to his fear, Koba has attempted to bite when approached. At this time, he is not allowing people to get close to him and cannot be safely handled without specialized safety equipment.

Koba's behavior appears to be driven by extreme fear and stress, and he needs a quiet environment, decompression time, and experienced handling to have the opportunity to feel safe again.

⏰ Time is critical. Koba needs a rescue partner willing to provide the behavioral support and patience he desperately needs.

🚨 Medical Rescue Needed Today – Hemi (A0061054609) 🚨

Hemi needs out of the shelter by the end of the day.

This young boy is not doing well and requires more medical support than the shelter can currently provide. Hemi is experiencing vomiting, wheezing, and thick nasal discharge. He has been receiving medication for the past two days, but his condition has worsened and he is no longer eating.

While his behavior has been improving, he does not tolerate injections well and had to be muzzled for treatment today.

Hemi is a neutered male, approximately 23 pounds, who needs a rescue partner or experienced medical foster that can provide the care, monitoring, and quiet environment he needs to recover.

⏰ Time is critical. Hemi needs placement by EOD today.

⭐️SWEET SENIOR IN NEED OF A FOREVER HOME⭐️

Bonnie 60911449 - This sweet bundle of love came in as stray but has stolen everyone's heart and deserves a real home outside of the shelter.

She is 8 years old, 50 pounds, heartworm positive, has a stiff rear right leg and has been being treated for an upper respiratory infection/pneumonia for almost a month and is finally on the downside of it. She is still on antibiotics and steroids.

She is an absolute sweetheart, shelter, volunteer and vet favorite.
She is dog friendly.

This girl is instant love. She just wants to be next to you and show you how much she loves you. She is gentle with a submissive side to her. She is a little bit of an older gal but promises to love you forever.
