🚨 MEDICAL RESCUE NEEDED 🚨
We are urgently seeking rescue placement for four cats at Henry’s Animal Campus who need additional medical care and support. These cats have varying medical needs, including a pelvic fracture, FIV and weight loss in a young kitten, injured paw pads, and significant eye abnormalities.
Our shelter is stretched thin, and these cats need placement with rescues who can help them get the continued care they need.
🐾 61846370 | FEMALE KITTEN | 5.2 LBS
Per the DVM, this kitten has a fracture of the right pelvis at the growth plate where the ilium and ischium meet. Analgesia has been started. Due to her young age, the fracture location, and the degree of displacement, the DVM reports a high likelihood that the fracture will heal in its current position over time. She will be monitored to ensure she can urinate and defecate independently. If she can, she has a good chance of healing with time and pain management.
🐾 61874872 | FEMALE KITTEN | 15 OZ | APPROX. 5 WEEKS OLD
This tiny kitten is FIV-positive and arrived with eye discharge and diarrhea, which appear to be improving with eye medication and probiotics. Unfortunately, she has lost 2 ounces and has not gained weight since arrival. She is thin, has pale gums, and has not been eating much. Fluids are being started, and Nutri-Cal is being scheduled to provide additional nutritional support. She needs continued monitoring and supportive care.

Per the DVM's assessment, this kitten has raw paw pads and requires more care than the shelter can provide. She also appears to be semi-feral, hissing and growling at staff. She needs a rescue placement that can provide care for her injured paws and an appropriate environment to help her decompress.

Per the DVM's review, this cat has significant abnormalities affecting his left eye. Conjunctival tissue is visible across multiple areas of the eye's surface, and the findings suggest possible symblepharon, where conjunctival tissue heals onto the corneal surface.
The DVM recommends further assessment, likely requiring partial anesthesia, to determine the extent of the adhesions and whether the internal structures of the eye have been damaged. If penetrating trauma or damage to the internal structures is identified, enucleation would be recommended due to the risk of future neoplasia within the globe. He needs rescue placement for further veterinary evaluation and treatment.
