We know there have been a LOT of questions regarding the 2023 HOR show, so this post is for you....

Due to some scheduling issues, we will not have our traditional HOR show at John Justin - WRMC this year. We know...
we know you're sad... we are too, but it just was not going to work out.

HOWEVER, we are working on something special for the fall and will post details about that ASAP. It won't be what you're all used to, but it will be a great new option/opportunity for some of our more local equine enthusiasts.

As for 2024, we are in discussion with WRMC for that, so please be patient and forgiving as we navigate lots of changes happening everywhere. We appreciate everyone's understanding and hope you know that the committee is working hard in the best interest of HOR and all of y'all!

Hello everyone! I hope that all the participants from the 2022 Horse O Rama have had a chance to recuperate from the event. We enjoyed seeing everyone this year and as always are looking for ways to continue to improve the event. But we can not do this without input from the participants. We've had this question come up a few times, so I'll answer it here....

While we are not a breed association show, we do generally try to follow most AQHA guidlines pertaining to bits, attire, class procedures, etc... We especially try to pay attention to whether or not our exhibitors are conduting themselves in accordance with true sportsmanship, horsemanship, and equine care.

Because part of this show's purpose is to educate and inform those who may not have ever shown in the "big pen" before, it is important to note that YES, proper horse show attire/tack must be worn/used while competing. Basically, at minimum, you will need to be in a long sleeve collard shirt with pants, boots and a hat, using the appropriate western tack on your four-legged friend..

Speaking of hats... speed people... listen up... you must wear you hat into the pen! If you want to let it fly off once you're in there and running, that's up to you, but just know that if it does NOT make it past the entry gate you are automatically DQ'd and if it does come off during your run, you will incur a 5 second penalty.
This is not a playday.

Having said that, and since Horse O' Rama has gone western this year, who's ready to get their YEE-HAW on this weekend? 😂
