✨ Who says cats can’t be trained? ✨ “WayMaker Fishing in the Dark”, now lovingly known as “Louie”, is here to prove just how smart our babies can be! 💜.

One thing we love educating people on is that cats, especially intelligent and people-oriented breeds like Siamese and Orientals, can absolutely be trained using positive motivation, consistency, timing, and trust — very similar to dogs. The key is starting with a well bred and well socialized baby, and then building a great relationship and making learning fun. 🐾

A huge shoutout to Louie’s amazing family for putting in the time, patience, and consistency. They have done such an incredible job with him, and it truly shows. We love seeing our babies thrive and bond so deeply with their families. 🥹

🐾📦 Who says Show Cats can’t have farm chores too? 😹 Little Miss FeeBee rode shotgun in the side-by-side today to help me go pick up our Amazon packages. Between the rain, the farm roads, and all the “supervising,” she took her job very seriously. 🚜

At an early age we slowly start introducing our babies to new textures, sounds, spaces, and gentle everyday life. While they still spend most of their time safely with mama, we introduce short, positive experiences to help build confident, well-adjusted kittens. Different areas of the house, new smells, soft sounds, careful handling, and lots of love all play a part in early socialization here at WayMaker. Raising confident, loving companions starts long before they ever go home 🐾

Austin new home update 🏡 Our sweet boy, Austin (WayMaker All My Exes Live in Texas), has officially settled into his new home in Minnesota! It took this very bonded boy a little time to adjust—he loved us deeply, and transitions can be hard when their hearts are so big. 💜 With patience, dedication, consistency, and lots of love from his new daddy, Austin has truly blossomed. These days, you’ll find him enjoying his morning coffee routine ☕️, watching out the window while dad leaves for work, and being his absolute best friend and shadow. We always remind families that some cats/kittens settle in overnight, while others—especially the deeply bonded, sensitive souls—just need a little extra time and grace. Seeing Austin so happy and loved makes our hearts so full. 🥹
