Today, with the help of Miss Victoria and Mr. Charlie, I was able to take 5 horses and 7 riders to a horse show at the Alachua County Agriculture and Equestrian Center. We had some downs, but we had MANY ups!!!!
For four of the girls it was their first horse show, but it was everyone's first time at an open show! Four of the horses we took it was their first time at an english riding event under the covered arena!
The 2026 OWS English show team included:
Miss Isabel, Miss Lyra, Miss Clo, Miss Lucy, Miss Piper, Miss Ellie, and Mrs. Gennai
The horses were OWS Diamond Rio (Rio), OWS Mischievous Loki (Loki), OWS Cash the Check (Cash), OWS Skip the Invite (Rooster), and Swiss Oaks Two Eyed (Toby).
The team competed in various classes including hunter under saddle, equitation (patterns), crossrails, 18" rails, and the hunter hack.
Each rider came home with at least one ribbon placing, but the most important was the experience we gained. These riders have put in the work to train most of these horses to cross over into the english discipline and I couldn't be more pleased with this group of gals. 💕
