10/01/2024
To our Clients,
It is with a heavy heart and some mixed emotions that we announce Dr. Mckee's retirement and therefore the permanent closing of Corner Veterinary Clinic at the end of this year (2024). Caring for your pets has been incredibly rewarding and we will forever be grateful for your trust in us when it comes to their care.
We will dearly miss the wonderful families, their pets, and bonds, some over multiple generations that we have made over the years. We cannot thank you all enough. Please understand that this was an incredibly difficult decision.
Dr. Mckee does hope to continue practicing at another clinic 1-2 days per week if possible but that has yet to be determined. We will post updates with more information as soon as we have the details.
Due to our upcoming closure, we will not be accepting any new clients or patients.
We will continue to schedule appointments for our current patients until the end of November, our last date for scheduled appointments will be Tuesday, November 26th. Our office will maintain current scheduled appointments and surgical procedures but will no longer be able to schedule new routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, declaws, or routine dental cleanings.
Below you will find instructions on how to obtain your pet's records, as well as, how we will handle prescriptions refills from now until the end of the year. If you have any questions please feel free to call our office during normal business hours.
Prescription Refills:
We will continue to refill medications and approve online orders for prescriptions, preventatives, and prescription food until the end of December 2024.
We will continue dispensing medications from the clinic directly until our current medication stock is used. Because of this, certain medications may need to be filled through another local pharmacy of your choice or through any online pet pharmacy.
We will no longer be accepting returned medications or prescription food for refund or credit to your account. Thank you for your understanding.
Obtaining your pet’s medical records:
There are multiple ways to request your pet's medical records. You can call our office at (260)424-1689, send a message to the text line (260)327-4067, or send an email request to [email protected]. However you choose to request records, we ask that your message have the following details: Your first and last name, pets' names, and the email you would like us to send their records to. Please only request records using one method. The more requests that are made, especially from different methods, the more time it takes our staff to filter the excess information.
If you have contacted another veterinary clinic that has accepted your pet as a new patient we are happy to email records to that clinic directly. If you would prefer printed copies of your records there will be a $5 charge per patient record. We ask that you give staff at least 2 business days to prepare printed copies that can then be picked up in the office during business hours. The final day to request records will be Friday December 27th. The final day to pick up printed copies from the office will be Monday December 30th 2024.
