I would like to thank all the volunteers that stepped up for our Obedience and Rally trials this past weekend. This is huge undertaking for our club and the help we received was fabulous. From Leslie White for getting the mats cleaned and getting me volunteers. . Terry and Jean and Steve Wheeler for helping get mats from storage and then Terry cleaning out the trailer to put the mats in it. Then everyone working together to move the floors around. Thanks to our stewards, you rock! Thanks to our Trial Secretary Joanne, that is a huge job. Thanks to Jean Smith and Mary-Lynn France for the fabulous food. Sherry Stratton and Bivian Oldsen for the silent auction. The fabulous competitors and their dogs. See you all in January for our next Obedience and Rally trials.

Our eldest club member Carolyn celebrates her 89th birthday today!

She joined FWOTC in 1983 with a miniature Schnauzer named Holly.

Holly was the 'officer manager' at Roller Dome South and all those little girls wanted to see "the dog with the petticoat."

From LaOtto and a Purdue graduate, Carolyn raised her family and always had dogs.

When she was a kid, she had border collies on the farm and raised her kids with a lab but her preference has always been the little dogs.

Her favorite memories of FWOTC are the fun day hosted by the club years ago where everyone demonstrated dog sports, and the yearly Christmas party.

Currently, Jovie, the havanese, Star, the toy poodle, and Roxie, the miniature schnauzer, make up Carolyn's pack and the delightful crew enjoys walks and competing in the show ring!

Advice for younger club members is "get out and go with your dog!"
