Tuesday night, DVM Logan Eicher presented on Hemoperfusion to a packed barrel room. Sharing knowledge about this specialized technique may lead to more pets having access to this life saving treatment.

We're helping animals and owners in need because no pet should ever be left behind!
Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) has partnered with the Veterinary Care Foundation to help support pet owners in need.
The Veterinary Care Foundation (VCF) is a 501c3 charitable organization focused on helping owners obtain medical care for their pets that they would not be able to otherwise afford. NIVES has collaborated with them to create a fund to help support care provided specifically at NIVES. Tax deductible donations can be made directly at the link below or, for more information, please contact the hospital.

In honor of National Pet Memorial Day, Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital invites the community to remember and celebrate the pets who have touched our lives. Whether your loss is recent or many years past, you are welcome to join us for an afternoon of remembrance and reflection. Members of the veterinary community are also invited.

The Community Pet Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 13th, 2026 @ 2pm at Foster Park Pavilion 1 (3900 Old Mill Rd Fort Wayne, IN 46802).

Leashed, well-mannered pets are welcome.

No RSVP is required.

If you would like your beloved pet to be included in the memorial slideshow, email a photo to [email protected]. Please include your pet's name exactly as you would like it displayed.

A casual memorial walk through Foster Park will follow the ceremony, weather permitting.

This event is free and open to the community.

We are excited to introduce the newest member of our Emergency Medicine team, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Spencer Seabeck!

Dr. Seabeck, who originally hails from Fort Wayne, graduated from The Ohio State University school of veterinary medicine and has returned to Fort Wayne to practice Emergency Veterinary medicine at NIVES. Dr. Seabeck shared that he loves the diversity of challenges and opportunities that veterinary medicine presents including complicated medical and surgical cases. When not caring for your furry family member Dr. Seabeck enjoys spending time with family, cheering on the Buckeye football team, reading, spending time at the lake and skiing!
