Can’t foster or adopt but still want to save lives?? Sponsor the spay or neuter of even just one cat or dog and look how many lives you save over the course of the years!

🐾 PLEASE SPAY & NEUTER YOUR PETS🐾

Katrina is one of the girls we took in recently with her friend Roran. Unfortunately, Katrina came in, not spayed, with hernia, and positive for Heartworms. She is currently taking doxycycline in preparation for her heartworm injections. However, today she received bloodwork, got spayed, and had her hernia repaired.
We are spending about an estimated $618‼️ This is outside of the several hundred for heartworm treatment that she also will be completing next month. Can anyone help sponsor a spay pretty please? 🙏🏼

🩷 Meet Regina, Karen, and Gretchen 🩷

These girls came to us suddenly due to being released from an Amish breeder. Another amazing rescue was coordinating their release and they were they did not have rescue. They had three hours to figure out placement. Thankfully one of our amazing volunteers was able to drive down to pick up these girls.

They are so timid and have a long way to go after spending years being breed with limited human connection. Even after everything they have been through, they are so sweet! They are good with cats, dogs and kids. They are just figuring out what grass is and what being dogs mean. Due to this fact, they are not potty trained yet. They have kept clean crates so far though. Due to urine staining and matting close to their skin, the girls got shaved. They are already feeling better 🩷

Estimated ages ⬇️
•Karen (eyebrows) is probably the youngest at 4-6 years estimated.
•Regina (afro) is 6-7 years estimated.
•Gretchen (mustache) is an older adult, probably more senior. 10-12 years old estimated.

We are looking for immediate long term fosters that can help us work on socializing these girls and showing them love.

Requirements:
•It is preferred if the fosters have a secure fence or are willing to use a puppy play pen. They are not used to leashes.
•If you wishing to be a foster to adopt home, please make that known as we do not want to bounce these girls around unnecessarily.
•We have a foster contract with rules. You must be able to get them to our vet in Fort Wayne, IN. You must listen to our rules about socializing and being outside, we do not want any of these girls running away.
•We require vey records for any fosters or foster to adopt homes.

Meet Susan 🩷

Sometimes all it takes is a few people working together to change a life.

Susan's journey began when Muncie Animal Care & Services reached out to Oakley's Cause for help. Through our partnership with Oakley’s Cause, we welcome Susan into our foster program.

Now it's Susan's turn to find her forever family.

Susan is a sweet black kitty with a tiny white locket and an adorable wobbly walk. While she doesn't appear to have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), veterinarians believe her wobble is more likely the result of head trauma from earlier in life. However, it is uncertain since she came to the shelter wobbly. Despite that, it doesn't slow her down one bit!

She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on monthly prevention. Susan took her time settling into her foster home, but once she realized everyone was there to love her, she blossomed. She now happily shares her home with children, cats, dogs, and even cuddles up with a 75-pound pit bull.

She can jump on furniture, climb stairs, and conquer cat trees with ease—she just has a uniquely wobbly way of getting there! Susan prefers to choose when she wants affection rather than being held, but she'll happily curl up beside you in bed once you've earned her trust. She also has one important request for her future family: wet food at least once a day!

Susan is currently being fostered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is ready to find the loving home she deserves.
