You still look for them in their favorite spot. Still reach for them before remembering. Still have moments you wish you could share with them.

After losing a pet, so much of the hurt comes from having love left to give and missing the everyday ways you gave it.

You can keep saying their name. Keep their photos. Tell their stories. Let yourself smile at a memory, even if it brings tears, too.

You don’t have to stop loving them to keep living.

I’ve been having this recurring dream where I get to see Atlas. 🥹

It’s always a variation of the same dream- I’m with Monty and Alf outside usually doing a last potty break before bed, and I stop and think, “Wait, where’s atlas?” and go looking for him.

He’s in the basement of where I lived when I first got him, or my parent’s house. He’s always alone.

One of the more memorable dreams he told me he was ok and he would see me again.

Most recently, when I walk downstairs I saw Atlas like this- sunglasses on, sitting in a computer chair 😂 He got up and ran to me. I said, “you can walk!!! You’re going to be ok!” And he said, “I’m not going to be ok.”

I usually wake up happy. It feels so real, but this one I have to admit got me emotional.

I miss him. I feel so lucky he visits me in my dreams. Does anyone else dream about their soul dog? I’d love to hear about it…💭❤️
