Although they can live indoors while young, they will thrive outdoors in Florida with a big backyard. We are incredibly thrilled to celebrate a massive milestone for our daughter, Sabina! Through dedication and hard work in the dual enrollment program at Collegiate High School, she has officially graduated from high school with Summa Cum Laude honors and earned her Associate of Arts (AA) degree at the same time, and did it all a year early.

We started Bluewater Zoo (previously Niceville Pets) in 2010 when Sabina was an infant. For a while, it was just the three of us. Eventually, her little brother came along, and then employees. Whether helping with daily tasks like betta water changes, assisting with school field trip presentations, or simply entertaining her little brother, Sabina has been a vital part of BWZ since its inception.

Next month, she is heading to American University in Washington, D.C., to pursue her interest in International Relations.

Sabina, your commitment to your education inspires us every day and reminds us of why we do what we do. We are so grateful to be your parents and cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes you.

Happy Monday everyone! In case you missed us over the weekend, we received another Czech Republic freshwater order. For those who don't know why we're always so excited about Czech, let me tell you that CZ is just different. Whereas domestic suppliers are about 80/20 wild to farm raised fish, CZ is primarily a collection of hobbyist bred pulled together by our supplier. They tend to be very particularly careful about keeping lines pure (no hybridizing of closely related species or localities). Prices are higher but the quality more than makes up for it. Now, we only order in what we think we have customer interest in, bare in mind. They focus heavily on dwarf cichlids, angels, killies, and unusual Tanganyika and Malawi cichlids. As always, please let us know if there's anything in particular you're looking for!
