💛 Meet Avignon 💛

He is spending yet another night at the shelter.

Another night without a family.

Another night waiting for someone to see him.

Avignon has been a long-term resident, and it's been months since he's even had a meet-and-greet.

Months…

Day after day he waits.

And somehow, despite it all, he still greets people with a wagging tail and a heart full of love.

This sweet boy doesn't ask for much. A kind word. A little attention. A chance to stretch his legs outside the shelter. Someone willing to help him learn and grow.

Avignon is still learning how to be the best dog he can be. He gets excited when he sees people because he loves them so much. He needs help with his manners, patience, and confidence—but most of all, he needs someone who won't give up on him.

Every night that Avignon spends in the shelter is another night he's missing out on the life he deserves.

He's not looking for perfection. He's just hoping someone will choose him.

Right now, Avignon could really use some extra attention—even a volunteer willing to spend time with him, help him practice his leash manners, and give him a much-needed break from shelter life.

🛍️ Do You Have Any Reusable Tote Bags You Can Spare? 🛍️

Our foster program is in need of reusable tote bags!

Every foster family goes home with supplies to help care for their foster pets, including food, toys, blankets, puppy pads, and sometimes specialty items like formula, heating pads, syringes, and bottles.

Having everything packed in a tote bag helps keep supplies organized and easy to transport.

These bags have been such a blessing thanks to generous donors in the past, but we've officially run out and could really use more!

Our kennels are full, and we desperately need temporary foster homes for dogs of all sizes and ages — from tiny puppies to adult dogs. 🐶❤️

Without foster homes, we cannot continue taking in dogs from the city that need safety, shelter, and a second chance.

✨ We provide everything: food, supplies, and medical care. 🏡 You provide: a safe place and a little love.

Even a short-term foster can save a life... it opens a kennel for another dog in need.

With walking events and our amazing teen volunteers, we go through a lot of leashes and we’re running low! We’re currently in need of clip leashes, especially the thicker, durable ones since many of our dogs are bigger and strong.

Every leash helps keep our dogs safe, secure, and ready for walks, events, and their journey to forever homes. 🐕✨

Fort Smith Animal Haven is turning our wishlist into a fun community challenge, and we need YOUR help!

These are the 25 items we use the most every single day to care for homeless, abandoned, and rescued pets. From food and treats to collars, leashes, enrichment toys, and medical supplies, every item helps us provide comfort, care, and a second chance.

🎯 OUR GOAL: Fill every square by June 30th!

✅ Purchase the item shown on the board
