Hey there everyone👋🏻, we’ve noticed an influx of certain things over the past few weeks that we would like to publicly address, especially during a challenging time within our walls🐾🏥full transparency ahead!🚨 (super long post)
Collectively and most importantly, we are not an emergency hospital. Therefor, we’re not fully equipped or always adequately staffed to handle everything that walks through the door on top of our regularly scheduled appointments- our doctors can only balance so much, especially if it’s a circumstantial day where we only have 1️⃣ provider working the schedule. We also do not routinely accept walk-in style appointments, and we ask that you please ☎️ ahead to check availability. At this point in time, we’re not accepting new clients so we likely unfortunately won’t be able to help you (we promise, new clients soon!).
Sometimes, we’ll recommend an emergency clinic because there are situations in which we feel you may end up there anyway, so we will recommend that you skip the “middle man” and take your pet directly where we feel they need to be. Other times, it’s situations where the equipment, personnel, and resources that emergency/referral hospitals have are much more than your average general practice, and we feel those cases are better suited in a top of the line facility. Little old FPAH only has so much to be able to provide you all with the best of care, but we do our best with what we’ve got!🏅🌟
We all hate to say no, especially to what seems like simple things and thus not be able to offer care for your furry friend, but behind closed doors, we’re currently going through a major internal transition of turning all ~3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ physical patient folders into electronic records. While going through this, we do ask for a bit of patience as we’re still working out some bumps in the road since we’re only in week ✌🏻. We also ask that you please understand that during this transition, as much as we hate it & try to avoid it, some things may fall through the cracks a little bit, but that doesn’t mean that we care about you or your pets any less! We’ve just got a lot of moving parts at the moment, and are trying to find the most efficient ways to get all problems and concerns addressed in a timely manner.
So please bear with us🤞🏻🙏🏻we may not be able to see you right away or at all on a particular day, we may not be able to have your pets medications filled within a half hour, and we may not be able to accommodate something emergent. We want what’s best for your pet, and first that means we must do no harm. If that means referring elsewhere, that’s what we’ll do. If that means we need to give your pet a sedative to be able to safely handle them so they don’t have a traumatic experience and our staff and yourself remain safe, that’s what we’ll do (safety is always priority!). If that means we simply can’t see your pet without taking resources away from another pet in need, that’s how it’ll have to be.
We truly appreciate everyone who has been so patient with us through so many crazy changes (more coming in the future🥴), and we can’t thank you enough for sticking it out! Some days, the parking lot is filled and the wait is nearly an hour⌛️(we promise, we’re doing our best to keep things moving). Some days, you can walk up to the front desk & ask for a refill of your pets medications without calling ahead, and it’s ready in a couple minutes⏳. Most days, it’s right inbetween.
Moving forward, we ask that you please take note of the following- 1. we’re a general practice facility, 2. we don’t accept walk-in appointments, and 3. call ahead for a refill of your pets medications. We don’t want you to wait any longer than you have to!
We hope to be opening back up for new clients in the very near future (~early September🤞🏻), but for now- love on all those fur babies out there!🐾💚
