One of the hardest parts of loving a pet is having to make decisions you wish you never had to make.

When their health begins to decline, it’s normal to question yourself. Is it too soon? Am I waiting too long? How will I know when it’s time?

There may not be one perfect moment that makes the answer completely clear.

Talk openly with your veterinarian about your pet’s comfort and quality of life. Ask the questions you’re afraid to ask. And give yourself some grace as you make decisions from a place of love and care.

Wanting more time with them and wanting to protect them from suffering can exist at the same time. 🤍

If you’ve ever watched Hachi: A Dog’s Tale, you probably remember it long after the credits stopped rolling.

The movie was inspired by the true story of Hachikō, an Akita in Japan who would meet his owner at Shibuya Station each day after work. When his owner unexpectedly passed away in 1925, Hachikō continued returning to the station, waiting for him day after day for nearly 10 years.

Today, his statue still stands outside Shibuya Station, and his story has become known around the world as one of extraordinary loyalty and love.

Hachikō’s story is a beautiful reminder of something pet families already know: the bond between us and our animals can be incredibly powerful. 🤍

Sometimes you go looking for a pet. And sometimes, somehow, they find you. 🐾

Maybe it was the dog you “weren’t planning” to adopt. The kitten who showed up at just the right time. Or the pet who immediately decided that your lap, your bed, and your entire home belonged to them.

However they came into our lives, it’s amazing how quickly they become family. 🤍

We’d love to hear your story. How did your pet become part of your family?

There are so many beautiful ways to keep a pet’s memory close.

Frame their collar beside a favorite photo. Keep their paw print somewhere special. Plant something in their memory. Create a small photo album filled with the moments that still make you smile.

A memorial doesn’t have to be elaborate. It simply needs to mean something to you.

However you choose to remember them, make it as special and unique as the life you shared. 🐾

And if you need help finding a meaningful way to honor your pet, Haisley Pet Loss Services is here to help. From cremation services to personalized memorial options, our team can help you create a tribute that feels right for you and your family.

Pets have a way of becoming part of our lives without us even realizing just how much.

They’re there for ordinary mornings, difficult days, celebrations, quiet nights, family changes, and everything in between.

And somewhere along the way, they leave their mark on our routines, our homes, and most of all, our hearts. 🐾🤍

That’s why saying goodbye can be so difficult. But the years of love, companionship, laughter, and memories they gave us are theirs to leave behind forever.

Today we’re celebrating Chris Arnold!

Chris is such an important part of our Haisley Pet Loss Services family — the kind of person who always seems to be wherever he’s needed, ready to jump in, lend a hand, and make sure things get done.

From overseeing day-to-day operations to wearing what sometimes feels like every hat in the building, Chris brings dedication, leadership, and a true can-do attitude to everything he does. He gives his all, never hesitates to help, and somehow manages to keep a great sense of humor along the way!

We’re incredibly grateful for the heart, hard work, and care Chris brings to our team and the families we serve.

Happy Birthday, Chris! We hope your day is filled with plenty of good times, laughter, and maybe a little time away from wearing all those hats!

Join us in wishing Chris the HAPPIEST of birthdays!

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today we celebrate the dogs who make our days brighter, our homes happier, and our hearts a whole lot fuller.

If you’re lucky enough to have a four-legged friend by your side, give them an extra treat, an extra walk, and an extra snuggle today.

And to the dogs we’re missing today — forever loved, forever remembered, and forever a part of our family.

From all of us at Haisley Pet Loss Services, Happy National Dog Day to the dogs we love and the dogs we will never forget.

In honor of National Dog Day, we’d love to see your dogs! Share a photo in the comments of your dog — whether they’re still by your side or forever in your heart.

Haisley Pet Loss Services was honored to care for beloved PSLPD K-9 Dingo Gibbins.

Our community of police officers and sheriff’s deputies came together to give Dingo a proper goodbye, escorting him to Haisley Pet Loss Services with the respect he so deeply deserved.

PSD Dingo proudly served our community alongside K-9 Officer Gibbins from February 2014 through January 2022. This incredible four-legged hero worked in patrol and narcotics detection with unmatched loyalty, courage, and heart. He was more than a working dog — he was a trusted partner, protector, and beloved member of the PSLPD family.

His service, his legacy, and the special bond they shared will never be forgotten.

Please keep Officer Gibbins and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, PSD Dingo.
Faithful partner. Distinguished service. Never forgotten.
