Carrots get a lot of credit for “helping eyesight,” but they can’t tell you when something is changing inside your dog’s eyes.

They won’t catch a problem early.
They won’t replace an eye check.
And they definitely aren’t a cure-all for vision problems.

So yes, keep the carrots if your pup loves them. Just don’t confuse a healthy snack with actual eye care. 👀🐾

Check their eyes in good light. Watch for new redness, discharge, squinting, rubbing, or cloudiness. Keep facial fur trimmed safely, and avoid harsh sprays near their face.
