Volunteers Diane and Suzanne gave these puppies a bath on Sunday in preparation for their big day! They will hit the adoption floor tomorrow morning so put in your application online and get here early for the chance to adopt one of these cute Shih Tzu/Catahoula Leopard Hound puppies.
They are 9 weeks old and currently range in size from 5-8lbs. We don’t know how big they will get. For photos and the adoption application go to:

Serena has had quite the day today!

She started her morning as our Pet of the Month at the Commissioners Meeting, where she proudly represented all the wonderful pets waiting for homes at Animal Services.

After that, Serena spent the day visiting the Community Development Department, spreading smiles and soaking up plenty of attention. We’re pretty sure everyone she met enjoyed the visit just as much—if not more—than Serena did!

Lee County Domestic Animal Services is hosting a Pet Hurricane Preparedness Seminar on Saturday, June 20th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to help residents living in evacuation zones to prepare their pets for the upcoming hurricane season.

Topics will include:
• Essential emergency supplies to have stocked ahead of time
• Pet-friendly shelter options in your area
• The importance of microchipping and identification
• Tips for evacuating safely with pets
• Creating a pet emergency plan

Space is limited so register today! To register, email: [email protected] by June 13th. Attendees will receive one free hurricane preparedness kit per household for your pet for attending. We will also be offering FREE microchipping. Prepare now so your pets stay safe when storms arrive!
