🌈Watch the full video of us retrieving the deceased baby dog here. Facebook doesn't allow posting the regular video because it's 12 minutes long but it's worth it. This one was definitely a doozy with a gator circling around us guarding the dog💔 & just to be clear, when I was going down to the water I didnt realize Linda was trying to explain that that's exactly where the gator lays so that's why she was adamant about me not going any further. But adrenaline was wild & I was trying to get eyes on the dog better. 👀 What a sad case💔💔

💔So we were able to get the dog & give owners the closure they need & that was our #1 mission. They were going to bury their baby because of financial purposes. 💔We fought the gator away with the oars deep in the water where the dog was originally at because the gator would not leave the dog. Then we used the front of the boat & oars to push the dog about 1/5 of a mile down the canal to an opening where we could launch the boat push the dog to shore to bag him.💔💔💔 RIP Buster🌈

😭😭 Found out last night around 11:00 p.m. that there was a dog that had passed away & in a canal surrounded by gators.. We were up all night working a plan out & had someone on scene until around 2:00 a.m. we were back up at 6:00 a.m. working out details. We got everything worked out & we're on the way but a pretty big Gator is guarding it, trying to slowly move the body into its hole. We will keep you posted.

🔥ANOTHER DOG REUNITED BY Chasin' tail in SWFL "Unleashed"‼️Reunited thanks to having a microchip! Miss Simba went missing & was found 3 streets away. The finders called one of our scanning stations & Kate ran to the location where Simba scanned positive for a microchip! Luckily the chip was registered with the right phone number... but the wrong address. We will assist them in updating that with the chip company. Kate Maryann reunited her within a few minutes! Enormous THANK YOU to the finders for posting, Sarah Lynn for coordinating & Kate for running to scan & driving Simba home.❤️

This reel was made by an amazing supporter & someone who's helped me on rescues, Tara J Boccia & I appreciate it so much!
Thousands of dogs' lives' have been saved over my 15 years in Rescue between fostering, transporting, rushing to pull countless dogs off death row out of facilities around South Florida & even some out of state, the scanning stations our team started 4 years ago, the Urgent Dogs & Cats of Lee County, FL & obviously trapping/tracking, with the help of endless volunteers, partners, dog owners, Rescues, other Rescuers, random strangers who've jumped in or let us use their yard for traps etc. They all can't possibly be put into a short video but this brings back so many memories, its amazing. We appreciate you making this for us,Tara💛

🔥ANOTHER DOG REUNITED BY Chasin' tail in SWFL "Unleashed" " "‼️Reunited thanks to being microchipped! Mylo went missing tonight & was found 6 Streets away. The finders called my scanning station where he scanned positive for a microchip! It was registered with at least 1 correct number, (Wrong address though) so we were able to reunite him within a few minutes! THANK YOU TO THE FINDERS for being so amazing & bringing him to be scanned ❤️❤️

💥‼️Just an FYI. In case you're thinking about getting a GPS collar for your dog, just keep in mind to use only an actual GPS collar & not an Apple tag. Apple themselves state that it is dangerous to use them as a pet tracker because dogs will often take them off & eat them & the battery can kill them. Also, as professional lost/missing Pet Trackers/trappers who do this full time, we can tell you that the Apple tags have to be within 33 ft of an Apple device to "ping".
95% of dogs hide in the woods because people see them & chase them so they will remain there, hunker down & there will be no Apple devices around to "Ping". Even if/when they come out looking for food - if it's a rural back road/area, there won't be high traffic that anyone passing by might not have an Apple device. We know of a situation where a dog was wearing an Apple tag literally on the busiest main Highway & it did not ping at all to the owner & ultimately was hit by a car after running for quite a distance where somebody on that Highway had to have had an Apple device. So it definitely needs to be an actual GPS collar.‼️

❣️16 Year old BLIND dog REUNITED by CHASIN' TAILS scanning stations!❣️
At 12:30pm on Friday Michelle received a call stating there was a "baby wolf" walking in the center of Miami Blvd in San Carlos Park. Michelle rushed to the site & scanned the tiny dog where he scanned positive for a microchip but the owners info was out of date😭 Michelle posted all over Facebook & made signs. Linda saw Michelles posts, called her & assisted in finding updated owner info. Linda found a possible address very close to where the dog was located. Michelle went to the address before putting up signs. She put a note on the door explaining that she's part of Chasin' tail in SWFL "Unleashed" & that she scans found dogs in San Carlos Park & believed she had her dog "Wolfie". A bit later, the elderly owner called stating she was looking for her dog who escaped a few hours prior but didn't know what to do until she found Michelle's note & called. Michelle went home, bathed the dog & drove little "Wolfie" home💚💛 The owner was ecstatic! Michelle assessed the fenced yard & found a couple compromised areas where the tiny dog got out. There's now a plan of action to help fix the fence so this doesn't happen again❤️Just a reminder, microchips are magical...but it's much faster & easier if the information is updated if you move or change phone numbers! Also, high kill facilities do NOT go to extensive measures or research AT ALL to track down updated owner info‼️Great teamwork Michelle & Linda!
