Humane Society of York County Humane Society of York County is a no-kill 501(c)(3) rescue in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Our Mission:
To find loving fur-ever homes for dogs and cats.

The Humane Society of York County (HSYC) is an independent local non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. We are a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and serve the greater Charlotte region including York, Lancaster and Mecklenburg counties. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, and 100% of your donati

on remains with the HSYC to benefit the pets in our care. To ensure cats and dogs are treated in a humane manner, are rescued, and are placed in loving and forever homes by:
- Increasing dog and cat rescues and adoptions
- Empowering the environment so pet owners are responsible and accountable for their actions
- Supporting spay and neuter programs for community dogs and cats
- Providing a Helping Hands Program to assist with critical treatment for dogs and cats in need

Moto Moto stole the show at Zoom Room!

At 10 years young, this special boy had a BALL soaking up treats, love, and lots of kisses.

Puppies? Unbothered.
Kids? Immediate BFFs.
Energy? Absolutely!! especially for donuts.
Hearing? Selective… unless a bag of chips opens across the room. 😂

Moped had the BEST time at Zoom Room last weekend! This sweet boy got some much needed time out of the shelter and clearly enjoyed every second.

He’s been with us for a little over a year now, and we’d love for his next adventure to be going home. 💙💚

Field Trip Friday: Frito Edition!!

Frito had an absolute ball hanging out at one of his favorite volunteer’s houses. (Shhh… he might be a little spoiled)

Just LOOK at those faces. Now imagine the faces he’d make once he realized he had a forever home. 🥹

Little Frito can be selective with his people and may need a meeting or two before he decides you’re officially in the club. But once you’re in? You’re IN. And this sweet, goofy little guy is so worth it.
