Hi Everybody! Violet here! I know my breeder mom was supposed to update you all after my heart doctor appointment, so I am going to apologize for her...she gets super busy with stuff sometimes, and doesn't always get to do everything she wants to do. Anyway, I have some good news and some not so good news...and also some news that proves just how smart I am...at least I think so! So, I went to see the heart crew on Tuesday. They all loved me and thought I was adorable! They took pictures of me for themselves, and then they put me on a table and did all the tests that they did last month. These tests tell the heart doctor if the medicine I take twice a day is working. Unfortunately, compared to last month, my most important number only came down by 2 points. It was 135 last month and 133 this month. So, the doctor increased the amount of medicine I take and I will go back next month to see if it is working any better. He wants the number to be at 80. Even with that bad news, there is good news! Because I am stable and not having any signs or symptoms of any problems, I am going to go to my new family tomorrow!!! I will stay with them until after my surgery, and then I will come back to my breeder mom to recover. I am so super excited to go be with my sister and my new family!!! I will be seeing the same heart doctor, because he travels to many places and has an office close to my new family, too! We still need to raise money for my surgery, so please share and give whatever you are able to give! I will send extra puppy kisses to you!!! PEOPLE...DO YOU SEE THIS MONSTROSITY??? A toot-toot or something like that???? What in the world am I supposed to do with it??? My breeder mom went to see her new granddaughter and came home with this! I thought she took it for the baby, but then she put it on ME!!! I can't believe the things that I have to endure because I am so cute! Anyway, I'm still asking for help in getting donations to fix my heart, and I would greatly appreciate any amount you can give. HOLY GUACACADO EVERYBODY!!!! You are all so amazing! My mom said that the GoFundMe got another $500 in it, so it is now at $1750! I have been taking my medicine twice a day every day, and it isn't icky at all! I go see the cardiheart doctor in 3 weeks, and he will prolly give us updated instructions about my medicine amount, play time, and how much more I have to grow so he can fix my heart. 💜 I came up with a new goal for the GoFundMe...my mom is going somewhere called Colorado to meet her granddaughter this weekend, and I would love to surprise her when she gets back on Tuesday with at least $2000 in the GoFundMe. UUMMMMMM....EXCUSE ME..... VIOLET HERE! DO YOU SEE THE ATROCITIES I HAD TO DEAL WITH TODAY???? Who takes a bath once every week or two??? And Mom clipped my nails, too!!! I feel like this is a violation of my rights!!!! And Mom says that you humans take baths or something called "showers" every day!?!?!? WHY???? My little puppy brain is so confused...anyway, I just wanted to say HI to you all, and remind you that we are still looking for donations to fix my heart! GUYS!!! DID YOU SEE???? The donations for my GoFundMe have more than doubled today!!! Both my families are so excited and thankful for all of you!!! My breeder mom took me outside to potty and made another video of me to share with you all! I love being outside, but I cannot stay out for more than a few minutes because mom says it is too much on my heart right now. Hello, everyone! As many of you know, I have been breeding golden retrievers and Cavalier King Charles spaniels for several years. In all of that time, I have never had a puppy with an issue like the issue that Violet has. When I took her and her siblings for their first set of puppy shots and Florida health certificate, it was discovered that Violet has a heart murmur and my vet recommended that she be seen by a cardiologist. I made an appointment with the cardiologist ASAP, and she had a complete cardiac workup and testing done. The testing revealed that she is an incredibly healthy puppy, aside from the fact that she has pulmonic stenosis. What that means is that the right side of her heart is having to work harder because as she was forming it did not develop properly. Dr. Bolfer, the amazing cardiologist that saw her, put her on a medication that she will take twice a day, probably for the rest of her life. He said that Violet will have to have surgery on her heart when she is big enough, which he believes will be between the ages of 5 and 7 months. Every other part of the testing was completely normal. She plays, she loves to snuggle, she is happy and healthy and gaining weight. I have an amazing family for her and I am giving her to them, and they are prepared for all that she will need throughout her life...except for the upfront surgical cost. I am asking all of you that if you have an extra $1 to $1,000 or anywhere in between or above that you would be willing to donate to help this little girl have surgery when she is ready, we would greatly appreciate it. I am paying for the cardiology appointments myself and they are prepared to pay for the medication and twice yearly testing and whatever else comes up. Both of Violet's parents have been genetically tested and had complete cardiology exams and clearances, so this diagnosis came as a shock. I will be sharing this to my personal page as well, but I wanted to reach as many people as I could to get as much support for Violet as I can. Thank you all so much!
