Throwback Thursday to Roam in full search mode

One of the most important parts of K9 training isn’t just teaching a dog what to search it’s exposing them to the real world they may actually have to work in.

Tall grass? Thick brush? Muddy creeks? Weird smells, uneven terrain, changing environments? Bring it on.

Searches don’t happen in a perfectly groomed training field, so dogs need experience working through the messy, unpredictable stuff too. The goal is to build confidence, focus, and adaptability so when the job is real, the environment isn’t completely new.
