"Itโs never too late, as far as Iโm concerned, to care about animals,โ said Campos."
From my understanding the City of Fort Lauderdale approved a 10,000 gallon aquarium without proper public notice. No one knew and it got pushed through and approved with no public feedback. This aquarium will be built at the beach in a hurricane A zone which is within a mandatory evacuation area. Inside will likely be an endangered solitary shark, a spotted ray and sea turtles.
Mayor Dean Trantalis says he supports animals in captivity for entertainment and believes wildlife trafficking is rescuing animals from the big bad ocean. It is a death sentence. Trantalis needs o retire already.
A 10,000-gallon aquarium is a part of the expansion coming to the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
